On the 5th July 2026, Sacred Heart Seminary, Akure, joyfully witnessed a memorable milestone in the faith journey of our students.

We give thanks to Almighty God as 51 students were baptized into the Catholic Church, while two others were formally received into full communion with the Catholic Church from the Anglican Communion. In addition, many students received their First Holy Communion, nourishing their new life in Christ through the Holy Eucharist.

We thank God for the abundant graces bestowed upon them on this blessed day and pray that they will remain steadfast in the faith, always faithful to the promises they made at the waters of rebirth, and continue to grow in love for Christ and His Church.

May the Lord strengthen them with His grace and keep them faithful throughout their lives.

Amen.
