Report Summary

Aim: The project's aim was to know the following:

A. Revenue the company made from two products.

B. Revenue the company made from 5 regions.

C. Amount of products sold based on the units.

D. Top 5 customer locations by revenue.

E. Top 5 product brands by unit sold and the bottom 5.

Preparation: The datasets was imported to Power BI and was cleaned and transformed with Power Query.

Here are the steps applied in Power Query:

1. Renaming of the column header.

2. Reordering of columns.

3. Addition of currency.

4. Addition of a custom column to get a new revenue column.

5. The transformed data sets were then closed and loaded.

Process: Here, the dashboard was built, charts were used for visualisation.

Analyze:

1. Insights extracted revealed that the company made the highest revenue from laptops, but the difference from the revenue made from mobile phones is just a little margin.

2. Based on the region, the West region had the highest revenue amongst the four, while the others had the same revenue.

3. Based on the top 5 customer locations, the company made their highest revenue from North Michael, with East James and Lake Michael having the same revenue.

4. Insights extracted from the top 5 showed that Google took the lead while Asus had the worst patronage.
