Dear Youths,

Karma is real. I have witnessed it first hand. What ever you give out, the universe will find a way to surely bring it back to you. Make good use of your youthful age as much as you can.

Channel your energy into acquiring knowledge and skill that will make you better and more valuable. The amount of wealth you will acquire is directly proportional to the value you give and how people are able to recognize that value.

Do what it takes to acquire Financial intelligence and how to have the key to abundance. Use the law of attraction to attract none stop abundance to your life.

Mediocrity won't pay, Fantasizing a dream job won't pay either. Life expectancy is 70-75 years and retirement age is 65years. Establish your own business, start small, be discipline, be comitted, set goals and be discipline towards achieving those goals. For The greatest of asset that cannot be bought is time. Time is valuable than money. Make judicious use of your time and most importantly have Faith in God.

For faith in God is the apex of all achievement.

Thank you for your time.

ON KNOWLEDGE

A learned and well known philosopher once replied to a group of ten learned men who said, 'We seek your permission for our asking a question from you.'

The philosopher replied, 'You are at perfect liberty.'

They said, "Of knowledge and wealth, which is better and why"?. Please give a separate answer to each. The learned philosopher answered in ten parts:

1. Knowledge is the legacy of the Prophets; wealth is the inheritance of the Pharaohs. Therefore, knowledge is better than wealth.

2. You are to guard your wealth but knowledge guards you. Therefore, knowledge is better.

3. A man of wealth has many enemies, while a man of knowledge has many friends. Hence, knowledge is better.

4. Knowledge is better because it increases with distribution, while wealth decreases by that act.

5. Knowledge is better because a learned man is apt to be generous while a wealthy person is apt to be miserly.

6. Knowledge is better because it cannot be stolen while wealth can be stolen.

7. Knowledge is better because time cannot harm knowledge but wealth rusts in course of time and wears away.

8. Knowledge is better because it is boundless while wealth is limited and you can keep account of it.

9. Knowledge is better because it illuminates the mind while wealth is apt to blacken it.

10. Knowledge is better because knowledge induced the humanity in our Prophets to say to GOD 'we worship thee as we are your servants.
While, wealth engendered in Pharaoh and Ni**od the vanity which made them claim god-head.

Seek knowledge, peace and wealth will follow.

May Allah make it easy as we do.

7 WAYS YOU COULD BE BACKBITING.

Backbiting is a major sin in Islam and should never be taken lightly.

Clear warnings against backbiting are both in the Quran and Sunnah which are severe enough to make us take heed of every word, facial expression and even gesture we make.

Some of us are oblivious to exactly what constitutes backbiting while many consider it as something insignificant. The Prophet (ﷺ) straightforwardly said, " *A Qattat (backbiter) will not enter Paradise* ." (Bukhari 6056)

_So what exactly is considered backbiting?_

Let us together shed some light on the types of backbiting we should avoid at all costs.

*1. The Common Backbiting*

The messenger of Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) once asked the Companions:
*“Do you know what backbiting is?”*
They said, “Allah and His Messenger know best.” He said, “ *Saying something about your brother that he dislikes.”* It was said, “What if what I say about my brother is true?” He said, “ *If what you say is true then you have backbitten about him, and if it is not true, then you have slandered him.”* Sahih Muslim 2589

This is the most common and direct form of backbiting and in most cases, is accompanied by slandering and gossiping, both of which are undoubtedly grave sins.

Gheebah (backbiting) means that you speak about your Muslim brother in his absence in a manner which he would not like to hear or have it mentioned had he been present. It is attributing to that person his faults or shortcomings in order to belittle or speak ill of him. This includes statements said about his/her physical appearance, traits, manners, behavior, religious commitment, lineage, dress, habits (i.e. sleeps too much) etc.
Slandering on the other hand is saying something about your brother which is not true.

Both these actions are strictly forbidden and in the Quran, Allah (Subhaanahu Wa Ta'ala) has likened backbiting to eating the flesh of your dead brother:
“ *neither backbite one another. Would one of you like to eat the flesh of his dead brother? You would hate it (so hate backbiting). And fear Allah. Verily, Allah is the One Who forgives and accepts repentance, Most Merciful”* [49:12]

*2. Gestures*

'Aishah (Radiallaahu anha) said:
"I told the Prophet (ﷺ) about a man, so he said: *'I do not like to talk about a man, even if I were to get this or that (for doing so)."* She said: "I said: 'O Messenger of Allah! Safiyyah is a woman who is ..." and she used her hand as if to indicate that she is short - "So he said: ' *You have said a statement which, if it were mixed in with the water of the sea, it would pollute it."* Jami` at-Tirmidhi Hadith 2502

'Aishah (Radiallaahu anha) did not utter a single word, rather it was a mere gesture she made to describe the stature of Safiyyah, which constituted a form of backbiting. The idea here is that this kind of gesture was meant as something bad due to some jealousy, and although many of us may have deemed it as insignificant, the Prophet (ﷺ) clearly criticized Aishah (Radiallaahu anha) for her action.

*3. Facial Expression*

Backbiting isn’t necessarily restricted to verbal expression. Even mere expression of the face can convey to others a shortcoming about your brother. This can be conveyed through expressions of annoyance, resentment, and suspicion whenever a particular person is mentioned. Examples include: rolling your eyes, giving unpleasant looks, or showing doubt.

*4. Implicit Backbiting*

Talking about a particular individual without mentioning his/her name can also constitute backbiting if those listening have understood who is being implied by the statement. Accordingly, it is best to avoid speaking about an individual if giving a description would easily hint the identity of that person.

*5. Mimicry*

Another form of backbiting includes mimicking or imitating a person by the way they talk, walk or act for the purpose of mocking or making others laugh. This is absolutely prohibited and far from the traits of a true believer.

*6. Showing Interest to the words of the backbiter*

Another subtle form of backbiting is displaying your interest and amazement while the backbiter is speaking. The more excited and interested the audience of listeners are, the more they are encouraging the backbiter to speak. So making expressions such as “Are you serious?”, “Wow, didn’t know that!”, and the likes, indicates to the speaker that what he/she is saying is of interest, therefore encouraging him to backbite more.

*7. Mass backbiting*

Talking negatively and disparagingly about a specific group of people based solely on their race, ethnicity, nationality, tribal affiliation, political orientation & creed is a dangerous form of backbiting that should be avoided. It unjustly targets a large number of people and you will be taken into account for every single person you backbit/slandered.

*Punishment for backbiting*

The Prophet (ﷺ) said: *When I was taken up to heaven I passed by people who had nails of copper and were scratching their faces and their breasts. I said: Who are these people, Gabriel? He replied: 'These are the people who ate flesh of others (by backbiting) and trampled people's honour."* . Sunan Abi Dawud 4878

The Prophet (ﷺ) said : ".. *a slave (of Allah) may utter a word (carelessly) which displeases Allah without thinking of its gravity and because of that he will be thrown into the Hell-Fire."* [Al-Bukhari].

The Prophet (ﷺ) said, " *He who has done a wrong affecting his brother's honour or anything else, let him ask his forgiveness today before the time (i.e., the Day of Resurrection) when he will have neither a dinar nor a dirham. If he has done some good deeds, a portion equal to his wrong doings will be subtracted from them; but if he has no good deeds, he will be burdened with the evil deeds of the one he had wronged in the same proportion".*
[Al-Bukhari].

SUCCESSION TO THE PROPHET MUHAMMAD PBUH.

Feast of Dhul-Asheera

Main article: Da'wat dhul-Ashira

Muhammad invited people to Islam in secret for three years
before he started inviting them publicly. In the fourth year of
his preaching, when Muhammad was commanded to invite
his close relatives to come to Islam, he gathered the
Banu Hashim clan in a ceremony. At the banquet, he was
about to invite them to Islam when Abu Lahab interrupted
him, after which everyone left the banquet. The Prophet
ordered Ali to invite the 40 people again. The second time,
Muhammad announced Islam to them and invited them to
join. He said to them:
Ali was the only one to answer Muhammad's call.
Muhammad told him to sit down, saying, "Wait! Perhaps
someone older than you might respond to my call."
Muhammad then asked the members of Banu Hashim a
second time. Once again, Ali was the only one to respond,
and again, Muhammad told him to wait. Muhammad then
asked the members of Banu Hashim a third time; Ali was still
the only volunteer. This time, Ali's offer was accepted by
Muhammad. Muhammad "drew [Ali] close, pressed him to
his heart, and said to the assembly: 'This is my wazir, my
successor and my vicegerent. Listen to him and obey his
commands.'" In another narration, when Muhammad
accepted Ali's eager offer, Muhammad "threw up his arms
around the generous youth, and pressed him to his bosom"
and said, "Behold my brother, my vizir, my vicegerent...Let
all listen to his words, and obey him." Upon hearing this,
the sons of Abd al-Muttalib departed from the feast, mocking
Muhammad's words, as they scoffed at Abu Talib ibn Abd
al-Muttalib , "He has ordered you to listen and obey your
son!". :17 In Tarikh ut-Tabari and as-Seerat ul
Halabiyya, it has been recorded that Abu Talib asks his son
Ali, "What is this belief you are following?" to which Ali
replies, "Father, I have believed in Allah and His Messenger,
and have given credence to him, kept to him, and followed
him."
Sir Richard Burton writes about the banquet in his 1898
book, saying, "It won for [Muhammad] a proselyte worth a
thousand sabers in the person of Ali, son of Abu Talib.
This is purely a researched non biased work as both are
sourced by the Sunni and white books respectively.

_OF THE _DAY

SPEAK UP
The Messenger of Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said:

"Let not respect for men prevent any of you from speaking the truth when he knows it."_
[Sahih Muslim]

Sometimes people are silent because they are afraid of offending somebody, when they should be speaking up with the truth.
Allah (subhana wa ta'ala) has more right that He should not be offended.
When the truth is covered up it is distasteful to Allah (subhana wa ta'ala).

Truth leads to Jannah and falsehood and lying lead to the Fire of Hell [Sahih Muslim].
Therefore, we should be careful to always side with the truth and speak it when necessary.
Nothing is as important as your character. Know when to keep silent and when to speak up.

Know the truth, understand it, believe in it, and practice it. In the end, nothing survives but the truth.
