Most businesses encounter similar problems.

I spent the better part of today with two of my clients that are now friends, at their business locations.

They both presented their business challenges in different formats; such as staffing challenge, energy challenge, business environment challenge and others.

I also had first hand experience of what each entrepreneur has on offer to their customers.

The interesting learning points for me are :

πŸ“Œ Despite the tough economic conditions and challenges, that both entrepreneurs are facing on their businesses; they are keen at scaling their businesses, improve their product and service offerings and overcoming their business challenges.

πŸ“Œ They both enjoy what they do as entrepreneurs and are also givers.

πŸ“Œ Quality products and services will sell.

πŸ“Œ Being a good entrepreneur comes with the ability to overcome business challenges, while creating value for their customers at a descent profit.

πŸ“Œ Entrepreneurship is a journey not a sprint, it will test your will.

How prepared are you for the journey?

7 hidden Secrets to give your LinkedIn post a huge boost.

πŸ“Œ Remove your picture background.

Your picture should represent the real you.

A clear background improves your picture visibility.

πŸ“Œ Use a profile picture that you have a smile on and facing the camera.

This gives you authenticity.

πŸ“Œ Build targeted network.

Build your network preferably, with people in similar industry or profession.

The incremental approach to network building has worked for me.

πŸ“Œ Stop people bouncing off your profile.

Turn off the , β€œpeople also viewed” feature in default setting, to achieve this.

πŸ“Œ Avoid sharing external links in your post.

LinkedIn algorithm suppresses them.

Rather copy and paste the content in your post and cite the source.

πŸ“Œ Be generous in your Comment on post.

This builds trust, improves your network also expands your visibility.

Give quality comments of two lines at the minimum, on a post.

πŸ“Œ Have spacing between the key points in your post.

This improves the scrollability of your post and audience engagement.

Keep connecting,

keep commenting,

keep growing.

Creating a relevant community on LinkedIn is important.

The webinar by LinkedIn Academy Nigeria for C-suite executives held yesterday.

The key learnings from the webinar are the following :

πŸ“ŒBuilding a community on LinkedIn or being part of one is important.

πŸ“ŒBuild your community amongst fellow professionals. An engineer should build a community of engineers, not doctors.

πŸ“ŒYou can be an influencer with 500 connections on LinkedIn, that’s your community.

πŸ“Œ When you build a community that will get some help from you, people will spot you.

πŸ“Œ Things don’t happen automatically on LinkedIn, your profile must be searchable and well optimized for people to discover your profile on LinkedIn.

πŸ“Œ Be deliberate in your connection targeting.

The coach HAMMAD SIDDIQUI informed participants about the usefulness of the search bar which is the goldmine of LinkedIn.

It can be used to search for names, connections in different locations, events and other information on LinkedIn.

Participants were also engaged to optimize their use of LinkedIn features for better results.
