OUR NECESSARY MISTAKE
Oh, my people!
Let's not regret our action
Truly, in their sky was a promising sun
But how could we have known
That it lacks its blazing power?
Oh, my people!
Let's stop the blame game
Truly, in their sky was a promising cloud
But how could we have known
That it's but a union of thick darkness?
Oh, my people!
Let's stop castigating one another
Truly, in their sky was a promising moon
But how could we have known
That like a balloon will it later deflate?
Oh, my people!
Just wait a moment!
Truly, in their sky were shining stars
But how could we have known
That like Lucifer shall they later fall?
Oh, my people!
Let's forget our necessary mistake
Now, the breeze is blown
The scale is off our eyes
And the fowl's a**s is obvious
Oh, my brethren in pain!
It's time we stand to our feet
And put our differences aside
Time to right the wrongs is ripe
For who will if we don't?

GOD BLESS NIGERIA
At the break of a new day
While still upon your bed
Take Nigeria to God in prayer
And remember to always say
God Bless Nigeria!
While on your way out
As you set a goal for the day
Put Nigeria in your thought
Make it your habit to always say
God Bless Nigeria!
While at your duty post
As you strive to make a living
Have a moment of prayer for Nigeria
Let God hear you always say
God Bless Nigeria!
While in the committee of friends
When events bring us together
At the happiest moment of our life
Let us not forget to always say
God Bless Nigeria!
While in our darkest moment
When the night seems too long
And the morning tarries to come
Let us still remember to say
God Bless Nigeria!
With our daily positive confession
And our relentless positive mindset
We can have a nation of our dream
Let us therefore say together
God Bless Nigeria!
HOPE FOR NIGERIA
The glory of this land is long lost
Our pride hangs in our precious past
But the dreams of our forefathers
Shall raise for us great leaders
We have heard the story
How they traded our glory
How our ancestors were starved
That they might be richly served
Poverty, like Jericho wall, is standing
Strength, like gold, we are daily losing
But this I know we are nearer the end
Than anyone of us can comprehend
Those who with us shared the past pains
And like us so much desire the future gains
Shall hurriedly heed the clarion call
And bring down the standing Jericho wall
Sooner, our land will shake
And our sleeping giants will wake
As the weak shall gain back their voice
We shall then make our choice
But our land must first quake
If our fallen heroes must wake
Then shall they lend us their spirit
Till we apprehend the last culprit
We shall then turn the table
And claim back our lost mantle
No retreat, for we are nearer the end
Than we can ever comprehend
Nigeria, my beloved nation shall smile again
And like a noble king shall we reign
Unto our land shall we return lost neighbourhood
And our watchword shall then be brotherhood
