*Ekiti State Public and Private Second [2nd] Term Resumption Date for 2021/2022 Academic Session.*

The Ekiti State Government has announced *Tuesday 4th January, 2022* the official resumption date for primary and secondary schools in the state for the commencement of second term academic activities for 2021/2022 academic session.

It directed public and private schools in the State to re-open for the second term of the 2021/2022 session from Tuesday 4th January, 2022.

All Public and Private School Administrators are advised to adhere to COVID19 protocols, ensuring the provision of gadgets and equipment for safety measures. Erring schools will be closed down indefinitely.

The Government urges the general public to duly observe safety protocols by wearing nose masks/face shields, observe social distancing, regular hand washing, and frequent use of alcohol-based hand sanitizers.

Notice of a week mid-term holiday.

This is to inform you that a week mid-term break hold between 12th-22nd Nov. 2021 as directed by the state ministry of education, Ekiti state.

In view of this, you are to keep your child/children busy at home for the period. Please make sure they work on their assignment.

Kindly take care of them.
May Almighty Allah guide, guard and protect them throughout the period and beyond.

*Dear** *Parents*

Please, complement the efforts of the schools and Government by doing the following;

1. Sit your kids down and talk to them about *covid-19.*👩‍👧‍👦

2. Introduce them to the use of hand washing with soap and the use of *sanitizer*. 👋

3. Let them know that they *MUST NOT share their spoon, bowls, face mask, water 🍼 handkerchief* with their friends, classmates etc

4.Tell them to wear their *face mask* when playing with their friends and to pull it down briefly from time to time especially if they experience shortness of breath or other forms of discomfort.
Please, note that those in the nursery classes are not expected to wear face mask.

5. Tell them that their *pencil, ruler, pen, eraser* etc CAN NOT be shared.

6.Provide at least *2* well Ventilated face masks 😷 for them daily.
Take care of the face masks by washing and ironing them daily or disposing them off as the case may be.

7.Provide, at least, *2 uniforms* 👔👚 for your kids.

8.Give them enough snacks 🍔🍏🍬🧃 and tell them not to share them with anyone.

9.Let them *bath* as soon as they return from school and try to wash their *uniform* daily.

10.Check their *temperature* always.

11. Let them stay at home if they have high temperature or they are not feeling well. 🙇‍♀️🙇🏻‍♂️
This is better than being sent back from the school or being isolated in the sick bay.

Public Service Announcement.

This is to remind all parents and private school proprietors that schools resume in Ekiti State for 2nd term on 18th January 2021 and it shall be enforced. Any contrary arrangement that students resume tomorrow 4th January 2021 wearing either m***i or uniform must be cancelled.
