The Economy Is Hard — But That Does NOT Give Anyone the Right to Defraud Others

Yes, things are difficult.
The economy is affecting almost everybody.

But let’s be honest 👇

Hardship is not an excuse to scam people
Poverty does not justify fraud
Struggle does not make wrongdoing right

⚠️ One painful thing happening today is this:
Some people now use the economy as an excuse for dishonesty…

👉 “Nigeria is hard”
👉 “Everybody is trying to survive”
👉 “No opportunity”

But the truth is 👇
The same economy is affecting millions of honest Nigerians too, yet many still choose to work hard and stay clean.

💔 Reality check:
Money gotten through deception may look sweet at first…
But riches built on lies, betrayal, and people’s tears often come with pain, fear, and regrets.

📢 It is better to struggle honestly and have peace with God than to gain wealth covered in curses.

Because at the end of the day:
👉 Character matters
👉 Integrity matters
👉 Peace of mind matters

💡 What Nigeria truly needs is not just money — but people with conscience, discipline, and values.

🙏 Keep hustling the right way.
🙏 Keep building yourself honestly.
🙏 Delay is better than destruction.

💬 Now let’s ask honestly:
Do you think the economy is making more people justify wrongdoing today?

👇 Share your thoughts.

Hopeful Horizons Ahead: Blessing CEO Arraigned in Lagos Over Alleged N36m Fraud Case, Awaits June Trial Date. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission's Lagos Zonal Directorate 1, situated at Awolowo Road, Ikoyi, brought forth a beacon of hope and justice as they presented social media influencer and self-proclaimed relationship therapist, Okoro Blessing Nkiruka, also affectionately known as Blessing CEO, before the esteemed Justice D.I. Dipeolu of the Federal High Court in Ikoyi, Lagos, on a day filled with promise, Friday, May 15, 2026. The allegations? A purported N36 million fraud that has shaken many, but also illuminated the path to redemption and growth. Nkiruka found herself facing a two-count charge that bordered on obtaining money under false pretenses and stealing to the tune of N36,000,000.00 (Thirty-six Million Naira), offenses that demand accountability and highlight the importance of integrity. As proceedings commenced, defence counsel, P.I. Nwafor, shared a glimmer of hope with the court, revealing that the defendant had taken proactive steps towards restitution by refunding part of the money to the petitioner. "We've made significant progress. The defendant approached the nominal complainant and refunded N24 million out of the N36 million. We're optimistic about resolving the outstanding balance. The nominal complainant has expressed willingness to prevail on the EFCC to consider dropping the case if the balance is paid," he said, underscoring the potential for amicable resolution. However, prosecution counsel, S.I. Suleiman, offered a different perspective, emphasizing the case's nature as a public interest matter. "The complainant here is the Federal Government of Nigeria, and we are here for the arraignment. We urge that the defendant take her plea, as that is the business of the day," he submitted, highlighting the legal framework's role in determining justice. Justice Dipeolu's ruling was both enlightening and instructive, "The defence and the nominal complainant can engage in discussions even during the pendency of the charge. It does not affect the proceedings before the court. The defendant will take her plea." The charges against Nkiruka painted a picture of serious allegations, with one count reading, "That you, OKORO BLESSING NKIRUKA, between July 14 and 17, 2024, in Lagos, within the jurisdiction of this Honourable Court, did obtain the sum of N36,000,000.00 (Thirty-six Million Naira) from Mrs. Ifeyinwa Nonye Okoye under the false pretence of leasing a six-bedroom detached duplex situated at No. 1B, Tunbosun Osobu Street, Off Kuboye Road, Lekki, Lagos State, which representation you knew to be false." Another count leveled against her stated, "That you, OKORO BLESSING NKIRUKA, between July 14 and 17, 2024, in Lagos, within the jurisdiction of this Honourable Court, fraudulently converted to your own use the sum of N36,000,000.00 (Thirty-six Million Naira), property of Mrs. Ifeyinwa Nonye Okoye." The defendant responded with a plea of "not guilty" to the charges, setting the stage for a trial that promises to illuminate the truth. Following her plea, the prosecution applied for a trial date and requested the court to remand the defendant in a Correctional facility pending trial. The defence counsel, however, prayed that the defendant be remanded in EFCC custody to facilitate the perfection of her bail conditions, given the recent service of the charge. Justice Dipeolu granted the application, ordering the defendant's remand in EFCC custody. The matter has been adjourned till June 5, 2026, for the commencement of trial, marking a new chapter in the pursuit of justice.

Do You Know It Is Your Right as a Nigerian Citizen to Have a Free and Fair Recruitment Process by morals and law in any of these agencies in the picture below Nigeria Customs Service HQ Nigerian Army Nigerian Air Force HQ Economic and Financial Crimes Commission CDCFIBNg Nigeria Immigration Service Nigeria Police Force
A lot of Nigerians apply for recruitment with hope, sacrifice, and belief in the system…

But sadly, many people feel the process is not always transparent or fair.

Let’s talk about it honestly 👇

📌 Every qualified Nigerian deserves equal opportunity during recruitment
📌 Applicants spend money on transport, documents, cyber cafés, and preparation
📌 Many wait for months with high expectations and anxiety
📌 Yet a lot of people still feel discouraged and unheard after the process

⚠️ What many applicants are asking for is simple:
👉 Transparency
👉 Fairness
👉 Merit-based selection
👉 Equal opportunity for every qualified citizen

💔 The painful reality:
Some applicants lose hope in the system completely because they believe their effort, qualification, or performance may not be enough without connections.

And when people stop believing in fairness, frustration and distrust begin to grow.

📢 This is why many young Nigerians are pleading:
Mr. President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu please come to the aid of applicants and strengthen confidence in recruitment processes across agencies.

💡 Possible solutions people want to see:
✔️ More transparent screening systems
✔️ Clear merit-based selection criteria
✔️ Better communication with applicants
✔️ Independent monitoring of recruitment exercises
✔️ Strict action against corruption or manipulation

🙏 Nigerian youths are not asking for favors…
Many are simply asking for a fair chance.

💬 Now let’s ask honestly:
Do you believe recruitment processes in Nigeria are truly free and fair?

👇 Share your honest opinion.
