Requirements for 2026 JAMB Registration: What you Should Know
If you plan on writing JAMB in 2026, here are things you must get ready before the registration starts. 2026 is approaching fast, do not wait till the last minute!
Note:
JAMB 2026 registration might commence in January 2026, (no official date yet).
1. Eligibility:
To register for 2026 JAMB, you need the following:
a. You must have completed or be about to complete your WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB
b. You must be at least 16 years old
c. You must have 5 O'Level credits ~including English Language and Mathematics (not more than two sittings)
2. Documents You Will Need:
Before registration, make sure you have the following documents:
a. NIN (National Identification Number): this is compulsory
b. Personal Email Address (do not share with anyone)
c. Active Phone Number (preferably linked to your NIN)
d. O'Level Results (or select Awaiting Results option)
e. Profile Code (youโll generate this before registration)
3. How to Get Your Profile Code:
Send an SMS like this:
NIN (Your NIN number) to 65019 or 55019
You will receive your Profile Code instantly. Keep it safe!
4. How to Register for 2026 JAMB:
a. Buy your JAMB e-PIN from banks or online platforms.
b. Visit an accredited CBT centre.
c. Provide your Profile Code, O'Level results, and course/school choices.
d. Do biometric capture and confirm all your details before submission.
5. Choose the Right Subjects:
You will write 4 subjects:
English Language (compulsory for everyone)
3 other subjects related to your course (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Physics for medical students; Literature, CRS, Government for arts students)
Choosing the wrong subjects can cost you admission.
6. Here is the Exam Details:
Mode: Computer-Based Test (CBT)
Duration: 2 hours
Total questions: 180
Score range: 0 to 400
