Teaching children how to write is not about forcing them to be perfectāitās about guiding them step by step.
In many homes and schools, we want children to start writing quickly, but the truth is⦠it starts with simple things:
š Scribbling
š Drawing
š Holding a pencil properly
Donāt rush the process. When a child enjoys learning, writing becomes easier and more natural.
Encourage them, correct them gently, and celebrate even the smallest progress. Thatās how confidence is built.
Remember: every child learns at their own paceāno competition.

There is a quiet kind of joy that comes with teaching childrenāone that doesnāt shout, but lingers gently in the heart.
It lives in the moment a childās eyes light up with understanding, when confusion gives way to clarity. Itās in the unexpected questions, the laughter over small discoveries, and the pride they carry when they realize, āI did it.ā
Teaching children is not just about passing on knowledge; itās about witnessing growth in its purest form. It reminds you to slow down, to see the world with fresh eyes, and to find wonder in the simplest things. A lesson about numbers becomes a lesson in patience. A story becomes a doorway into imagination.
And perhaps the most surprising part is this: as much as you teach, you are also being taught. Children teach resilience, honesty, curiosity, and the courage to try again without fear of failure.
The joy of teaching children isnāt found in perfectionāitās found in progress, in connection, and in the small, meaningful moments that stay with you long after the lesson ends.
In teaching them, you grow too.

Why Do Most Schools Struggle in the First Week of Resumption?
The first week of a new term is often chaoticānot because teachers are lazy or learners are unserious, but because of common challenges many schools face.
š¹ Poor preparation ā Schemes, lesson plans, and timetables are not ready on time.
š¹ Unclear expectations ā Learners are unsure of rules, routines, and standards.
š¹ Late resumption mindset ā Some teachers and learners resume physically but not mentally.
š¹ Weak communication ā Parents, teachers, and administration are not on the same page.
š¹ Classroom management gaps ā Rules are enforced too late instead of from day one.
A strong first week sets the tone for the entire term.
Start well to finish well.
In your opinion, what causes the most challenges during the first week?

Tips for Teaching Children Ages 2ā5
Early childhood is a magical time full of discovery, play, and growth! š± Here are a few simple but powerful tips to support learning for little ones aged 2ā5:
Learn Through Play
Kids learn best when they're having fun! Use games, songs, pretend play, and creative activities to build skills naturally.
Keep It Short & Sweet
Young children have short attention spans. Plan activities in 5ā15 minute bursts and follow their lead.
Repeat, Repeat, Repeat
Repetition helps kids remember and feel confident. Donāt be afraid to sing the same song or read the same book daily!
Use Everyday Moments
Turn daily routines like cooking, shopping, or getting dressed into learning opportunitiesācounting, naming colors, or identifying shapes.
Encourage Talking
Talk with children, not just to them. Ask questions, listen, and build their vocabulary by describing whatās around them.
Celebrate Effort, Not Perfection
Praise curiosity and trying new things. This builds confidence and a love of learning.
Remember: At this age, the goal isnāt perfectionāitās exploration, bonding, and joy!

Week Two: Back in the Classroom with the Littlest Learners.
Weāre just in the second week of resumption, and already itās clear ā teaching 3-year-olds is equal parts heartwarming, hilarious, and humbling. š
At this age, every moment is a discovery, every question is genuine, and every small milestone feels like a big win.
From learning to share crayons to singing the alphabet (with their own unique remix!), itās a daily reminder of why early childhood education matters so much.
Looking forward to a term full of growth, giggles, and lots of learning ā for them and for me.
