PROFILE: PROFESSOR UCHE GRACE EMETAROM
Professor Uche Grace Emetarom is a Professor of Educational Administration and Management, in the Department of Educational Administration and Planning (DEAP), Abia State University, (ABSU), Uturu, Abia State Nigeria, where she lectures, engages in Research and Community Work. She is specialised in Educational Leadership/Management and Gender Management.
She has attended and presented papers in over 50 conferences and a resource persons/speaker for several organizations, nationally and internationally; has over 60 national and international peer reviewed publications to her credit;
She is a well respected Scholar, who has
strong online publication presence and social media presence as well as, being a well cited author by academics and students, in ReserachGate, AcademicEdu and Google Scholar; She has been a resource person/speaker, Moderator in many academic conferences, Workshops and Seminars in Nigeria and internationally; She is consulting editor, reviewer of many reputable journals, including the journals of her professional association, the Nigerian Association for Educational Administration and Planning (NAEAP) (Nigerian Journal of Educational Administration and Planning), approved and financially supported by the Education Trust Fund (ETF) of Nigeria - 2010 to 20214) and the journals of Kappa DeltaPi Education Society of Nigeria (NKDIJE) and US-China international journal (2011).
She is a meticulous book reviewer; has successfully supervised over 30 Doctoral and 35 Master’s degree Students in Educational Administration and Management; served as external examiner to many Universities and Colleges of education (both Federal and State) in Nigeria, for the assessment of candidates for Readership and Professorship positions and for Ph.D Thesis and Master’s Dissertations, national and internationally, including Alegra Muslimn University, India in the past 15 years. She served her University creditably with innovative practices and transformative Management approaches in all the positions she appointed in, as follows: Appointed Director, Centre for Remedial Studies (CRES) from 2000 to 2004 where she revived the ailing Centre, raised funds and Constructed a permanent building site for
the Centre; Resulting from her achievements in CRES she was requested, by her Vce Chancellor, then, to be appointed the Head of her Department, Educational Administration and Planning (DEAP) and was the first Female Head of the Department from 2004 to 2005 where she restored the needed academic excellence and her efforts were appreciated with an Award to the Department, as the "Best Department" among the 5 Departments in the Faculty of Education.; Appointed Director, Students’ Industrial Work Experience Scheme (SIWES), where she raised funds, and same saved in conjunction with the University, which was subsequently used to facilitate mobility that highly achieved tasks of the Centre. She also improved students industrial attachment practical experiences by ensuring proper staff
supervision of students in their industrial training activities and reporting same, as was never done prior to her appointment from 2007 to 2010; Appointed Director, Centre for Entrepreneurship Education from 2010 to 2011, achieving a reorganisation of the Centre and collaboration with simillar Centers in other institutions for greater skills acquisition by the Students.
Prof Uche Emetarom was appointed and Certified, on May 10, 2017, by Charles A. Hopkins, UNESCO Chairholder, as National Coordinator Nigeria, in the International Research Project "Reorienting Education and Training Systems to Improve the Lives of Indigenous Youth" from 2017 - 2020, led by the UNESCO Chair Reorienting Teacher Education towards Sustainability Indigenous and ESD International
Research Network, at York University Toronto, Canada.
She is a member of the International Network of Teacher Education Institutions (INTEIs), with Secretariat in Canada from 2016 to date; Member, Kappa Delta Pi (KDP) International Honor Society in Education with Headquarters in Indianapolis, U.S.A, from 2013 to date; She is the Founder and Pioneer President of Kappa DeltaPi Education Society of Nigeria, a chapter of KDP (2013 to date), which is duly registered in Nigeria (2019), with over 100 teachers as members who are in the academia and teaching profession at all levels of education from different educational institutions in Nigeria, who have actively impacted pupils and Teachers in schools, in different States of Nigeria with different projects
(School Gifting and Training in Reading) - Gifting of various Schools supplies, provision of KDP branded seats, school uniform to pupils, renovation of classrooms and Schools buildings, Reading books and training on reading, among others (2016 to Date), which improved the quality of learning in the gifted schools and brought back to the schools, some of the pupils who dropped out, earlier; Member, Commonwealth Council for Educational Administration and Management (CCEAM), where she served as a Board member, Executive Council member and Regional Representative for the East and West Regions of Africa (made up of Nigeria, Uganda, Ghana, Kenya, Cameroon, Tanzania, Seychelles etc.), 2010 to 2014. She is a member of the Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM) from 1980 to date; Fellow, Nigerian
Institute of Management (FNIM) (2021); The 7th Past and first Female President of the Nigerian Association for Educational Administration and Planning (NAEAP), her professional Association, for two terms, from October 2010 to October 17, 2014.
Professor Uche Grace Emetarom is a Certified Management Consultant (CMC) of the Institute of Management Consultants (IMC - Nigeria), under the Authorization of the International Council of Management Consulting Institutes ( ICMCI), as well as a Fellow of the Institute of Management Consultants (IMC - Nigeria). She is confired Honorary Fellow of Chartered institute of Educational practitioners UK, by the Chartered institute of Educational practitioners UK on 26th August 2021.
She has presented many Keynote addresses and Lead Papers as well as served as Guest Speaker and Moderator, in various fora, nationally and internationally, including to the Industrial Training Fund (ITF) in 2019 and Kappa Delta Pi (KDP) International Honor Society in Education (2013 - date),
as well as to the University of Missouri-St Louis, College of Education (COE) Research Series Presentations on November 6th 2019, SEED TALK Series of IDYM and appointed the IDYMGU Africa Head in May, 2022.
She is a recipient of over 20 national and international Awards as well as recognitions, some of which are;

She was recognized with Global Education Excellence certificate in Appreciation as speaker on SDG 17 and bestowed the Global Credential of Sustainable Development Goal Leader by IDYM May 2022; Recognition with Certificate in Appreciation and gratitude for outstanding service and dedication as a Counselor of the Nigerian Chapter by KappaDeltaPi(KDP) International Honor Society in Education, Indianapolis, USA; She was publicly
honoured, by KDP, as the recipient of the 2018-2019 Regional Chapter Counselor of the Year Award, for achieving excellence in her role as Counselor to Kappa Delta Pi (KDP) International Honor Society in Education and to her Nigerian Chapter, in Norfolk, VA on Friday, October 25, 2019.

In 1992 he migrated to the USA to pursue a career in airline Pilot. He however spent 22 years in the Hospitality Industry as an Operations Executive rising through the ranks to Director of Operations for Burger King with responsibilities across several states in America.In 2021, Ade launched Project55Africa to train and mentor future leaders, transform values across Africa and provide access to financial education and wealth creation programs to reduce unemployment and eradicate poverty among African young adults. Every week Ade spent time with young leaders across several African countries teaching principles that bridges the gap from where they currently are to where they want to be.Ade is a dynamic keynote speaker and Bible teacher. He has spoken to audiences in over 23 countries in 4 continents He always seek opportunities to add value to others. Ade and his family spend their time between Nigeria, Ethiopia, and USA.
