UNIBEN notice on closure of admission exercise, 2025/2026

The Management of the University of Benin has announced that following the decision reached at the Policy Meeting of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) with Vice Chancellors and other stakeholders, admissions for the 2025/2026 Academic Session shall close on Friday 31st October, 2025.

Candidates who have been offered admissions into various courses in the University of Benin are, therefore, advised to accept the offers before the deadline of Friday 31st October 2025 to avoid forfeiting the admissions.

Management of the University of Benin looks forward to welcoming the newly admitted students as bonafide undergraduates of the University from Monday 10th November, 2025, when the 2025/2026 Academic Year shall begin.

UNIBEN RELEASES OFFICIAL ACADEMIC CALENDAR FOR 2025/2026 SESSION:

AHMADU BELLO UNIVERSITY (ABU) UPDATE ON 2025/2026 ADMISSION EXERCISE:

Sequel to the release of the first list of the 2025/2026 admission, the University Management hereby invites candidates to note as follows:

i. Candidates who secured the admission are requested to accept the offer and print their JAMB admission letter via the JAMB portal CAPS with immediate effect.

ii. It is observed that many candidates have been recommended for admission by their faculties but they did not upload their ' level results on the JAMB CAPS. as such, the University can not complete the process for their admissions.

Therefore, the affected candidates are required to visit any JAMB accredited CBT centre to upload their ' level results immediately, in order avoid forfeiture of their admission status.

UNIVERSITY OF UYO 2025/2026 POST-UTME SUPPLEMENTARY ADMISSIONS:

The University of Uyo hereby invites candidates who scored 150 and above in the 2025 JAMB UTME and registered for the University of Uyo Post-UTME Screening Exercise but were not offered admission into their first-choice programmes to apply for supplementary admission into other available programmes that align with their UTME and O’Level subject combinations.

CHANGE OF COURSE REGISTRATION PERIOD

The JAMB portal for online Change of Course Registration for the University of Uyo Supplementary Admission will be open from Monday, 20th October 2025, to Sunday, 26th October 2025.

All interested candidates are advised to complete the process within this period.
Failure to register within the stipulated timeframe will result in disqualification from consideration for admission.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Candidates must ensure their O’Level (WAEC/NECO) results are correctly uploaded on the JAMB CAPS at a CBT Centre approved by JAMB.

All offered admissions must be accepted within one (1) week of approval. Failure to accept will result in deletion of the offer and categorization as “refusal to accept”, which makes the candidate ineligible for further admission.

The University of Uyo invites candidates who scored 150 and above in the 2025 JAMB UTME and registered for the University’s Post-UTME Screening Exercise but could not gain admission into their first-choice programmes to apply for supplementary admission into other programmes relevant to their UTME and O’Level subject combinations.

PROCEDURE FOR SUPPLEMENTARY ADMISSION
Candidates are required to:

Visit the JAMB Portal and change their course to the preferred programme listed in this advertisement.

Ensure that their O’Level (WAEC/NECO) results are uploaded on the JAMB CAPS portal at an approved CBT centre.

Accept their admission promptly once offered.

IMPORTANT NOTES
There will be a one-week deadline for accepting admission offers. Failure to do so will result in the admission being deleted, and such candidates will be placed under “refusal to accept” category, making them ineligible for future admission.

The University of Uyo does not use agents or individuals for admission. Any payment made to individuals is at your own risk.

The University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) has officially released the 2025/2026 Primary Admission List on the JAMB CAPS portal.

All prospective students are advised to start checking their JAMB CAPS immediately, to confirm their admission status.

• Select “Access My CAPS”
• Click on “Admission Status”
