*OLOYEDE TO STEP DOWN AFTER 10 YEARS AS JAMB REGISTRAR📝*

The Minister of State for Education, Prof. Suwaiba Said Ahmad, has announced that the 2026 Admissions Policy Meeting will be the last to be overseen by JAMB Registrar, Prof. Is-haq Oloyede.

Speaking in Abuja, the minister praised Oloyede’s 10-year tenure, noting that he transformed JAMB’s operations, improved transparency, and significantly increased remittances to the Federal Government.

Since assuming office in 2016, Oloyede has overseen the remittance of over ₦20 billion in operating surplus while also funding major development projects and contributing to the reduction of tertiary institution application fees.

Before joining JAMB, he served as Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ilorin and held several leadership roles in Nigeria’s university system. His contributions to education and public service have earned him multiple national honours.

Oloyede, who is 71 years old, is expected to step down after the 2026 admissions exercise.
