8. For two sittings: log into your e-Facility profile, select "2026 UTME O'Level Upload," and enter your code

9. Select 5 to 9 subjects for your application

10. Click "Apply the O'Level Results" and confirm your successful submission

JAMB has launched an online system letting 2026 UTME candidates verify and upload their O'Level results from home, without visiting CBT centres.

The service currently covers WAEC results. Here's how it works:

1. Visit JAMB's result verification portal
2. Provide your NIN, select number of sittings and exam body, enter email/GSM number, and pay
3. Enter your exam number, series, and year
4. You'll get a Verification Code
5. Text "VERIFY" plus the code to 55019 or 66019
6. Your verified result gets uploaded automatically

Candidates with two O'Level sittings should log into their e-Facility dashboard, select "2026 UTME O'Level Upload," enter the code, then choose 5–9 subjects before clicking "Apply the O'Level Results.

𝟭. 𝗠𝗶𝘀𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗰𝗵 𝗼𝗳 𝗗𝗮𝘁𝗮
Your bio-data, O'level results, or UTME details may not fully match what is on your JAMB profile. Even a small discrepancy in name spelling, date of birth, or exam numbers can cause a mismatch and stall your admission process. Always double-check that your details are consistent across JAMB, WAEC/NECO, and your institution's portal.

𝟮. 𝗪𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗿 𝗕𝗮𝗱 𝗢'𝗹𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝘂𝗹𝘁
Institutions require specific O'level subject combinations with credit passes, usually at not more than two sittings. If your results don't meet the minimum requirement for your chosen course, or if you uploaded the wrong result, your admission cannot be processed until this is corrected.

𝟯. 𝗟𝗼𝘄 𝗝𝗔𝗠𝗕 𝗦𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗲
Every course and institution has a cut-off mark. If your UTME score falls below what your chosen institution or department requires for that session, you will not be recommended for admission, no matter how strong your other qualifications are. Consider checking your institution's specific cut-off and, if needed, explore other institutions where your score qualifies.

𝟰. 𝗪𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝘂𝗯𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗯𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻
Choosing subjects that don't align with your intended course of study is a common but costly mistake. For example, offering the wrong combination for Medicine, Law, or Engineering can automatically disqualify you from being considered, even with a good score. It is important to confirm the correct subject requirements for your course before and after registration.

Your institution has formally recommended you for admission. JAMB is still carrying out final checks before this becomes an official offer. Keep watching your CAPS profile.

𝟰. 𝗔𝗗𝗠𝗜𝗧𝗧𝗘𝗗 / 𝗔𝗗𝗠𝗜𝗦𝗦𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗢𝗙𝗙𝗘𝗥𝗘𝗗
JAMB has officially approved your admission. You must accept or reject the offer within the given period, then print your admission letter after accepting. Do not ignore this stage, as delays can cost you the offer.

𝟱. 𝗧𝗥𝗔𝗡𝗦𝗙𝗘𝗥 𝗔𝗣𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗩𝗔𝗟 / 𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗚𝗥𝗔𝗠𝗠𝗘 𝗧𝗥𝗔𝗡𝗦𝗙𝗘𝗥
This appears when your institution offers you a different course from your original choice, often due to limited space or cut-off marks. You must indicate whether you accept or reject the new course.

This confirms you want the offered admission. Think carefully before accepting, as it is generally treated as a firm decision for that admission cycle. Biometric verification at an accredited CBT centre may also be required.

𝟳. 𝗥𝗘𝗝𝗘𝗖𝗧 𝗔𝗗𝗠𝗜𝗦𝗦𝗜𝗢𝗡
Available if you do not want the offer. Rejecting may open your profile to other institutions through the JAMB Marketplace, but the original offer may not be recoverable afterward.

Getting an admission offer is only half the process. Your admission is not final until you officially respond to it on JAMB CAPS. If you fail to respond within the given timeline, the offer will be cancelled and given to another candidate.

Before you start, have your JAMB e-Facility email and password, and your registration number ready. Use a device with stable internet. If you're on mobile, switch your browser to "Desktop Site" mode, as the CAPS buttons may not display properly otherwise.

Steps to respond:
1. Log in to the JAMB e-Facility Portal
2. Click "Check Admission Status" on your dashboard
3. Select your exam year, confirm your reg number, and click "Access My CAPS"
4. Click "Admission Status" on the left sidebar
5. If offered admission, click "Accept" or "Reject" and confirm your choice

Know your status: Offered Admission means your offer is ready. Admission in Progress or Recommended means be patient, no action needed yet. Not Admitted means check that your O'Level results are uploaded. Transfer Approval means a different course is being offered, review it fast. Approved means your acceptance is processed and you can print your documents.

If you accept, your profile is locked to that institution for the session and you can proceed to pay your acceptance fee. If you reject, the offer returns to the school and your profile becomes available to other institutions.

Accepting cannot be reversed, so be certain before you click. Before rejecting, check the JAMB brochure to confirm your other choices still have open slots.

After accepting, print your JAMB Admission Letter and Original UTME Result Slip. You'll need both for screening and clearance at your institution.

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) portal is currently experiencing temporary downtime as a result of ongoing system upgrading and the resolution of technical issues affecting some portal services.

Candidates who are currently unable to access their profiles, log in to the portal, or use certain services are advised not to panic. The downtime is expected to be related to ongoing technical work being carried out on the system to improve its performance and functionality.

Candidates are advised to exercise patience and avoid making repeated attempts or taking unnecessary actions while the upgrade and technical issue resolutions are ongoing.

Once the necessary maintenance has been completed and the affected services are restored, candidates should be able to access the portal normally.
