Acholonu was the Director of the Catherine Acholonu Research Center, Abuja (CARC), which she co-founded with Ambassador (Dr.) Ajay Prabhakar.[2] The center, based in Abuja, is pioneering research into Africa's pre-history, stone inscriptions, cave art, and linguistic analyses of ancient symbols and communication mediums from the continent. She argues that Nigerian rock-art inscriptions, known as Ikom Monoliths, prove that "Sub-Saharan African Blacks possessed an organized system of writing before 2000 B.C." and that she and her assistants are able to translate these.[3]

Catherine Obianuju Acholonu (26 October 1951 – 18 March 2014) was a Nigerian writer, researcher and former lecturer on African Cultural and Gender Studies. She served as the former Senior Special Adviser (SSA) to President Olusegun Obasanjo on Arts and Culture, and foundation member of the Associa...

Catherine Acholonu (1951-2014)
THE FEMALE WRITER AS A GODDESS
by Nduka Otiono

The goddess that is everywhere streams into my veins
that I may live
that you may drink
I am the goddess
Of the market square.
—Catherine Acholonu, “The Market Goddess” (The Spring’s Last Drop)

This supports the thesis of the Catherine Acholonu Research Center For African Studies and the Niger Association of Global Africana Sciences that the origin of man is not the Nile River Valley (East Africa) as proposed by the majority of Africanists, Afrocentrists supported by the Western Academy, but rather the heretical notion that it is the Niger River Valley (West Africa) that is the origin and "Eden" of mankind.

There was never a chimp-like missing link between humans and today's apes, says a new fossil-skeleton study that could rewrite evolutionary theory. Said one scientist, "It changes everything."

"In December 2012, DNA tests were conducted on the mummies of Pharaoh Rameses III and his son, which proved that they belonged to human Y chromosome group E1b1a. This is the Y chromosome group of Sub Saharan Africans who speak Niger–Congo languages."
