'Abdullah (b. 'Umar) reported from his father
that while he was addressing the people on
Friday (sermon), a person, one of the
Companions of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺpbuh),
entered (the mosque). Umar said to him
loudly:
What is this hour (for attending the prayer)?
He said: I was busy today and I did not
return to my house when I heard the call (to
Friday prayer), and I did no more but
performed ablution only. Upon this Umar
said: just ablution! You know that the
Messenger of Allah ( pbuhﷺ) commanded (us) to
take a bath (on Friday).

(10 days of dhul hijjah)
"There are No days in which righteous deeds
are more beloved to Allaah than these 10
days." [Bukhaari]
"There are No days greater in the sight of
Allaah (including Ramadhaan) & in which
righteous deeds are more beloved to Him than
these 10 days, so during this time recite a great
deal of Tahleel ("La ilaaha ill-Allaah"), Takbeer
(Allaahu Akbar) and Tahmeed (Al Hamdu Lil-
laah)." [Ahmad]
A Sunnah of the Prophet s.a.w: "When you see
the new moon of Dhul-Hijjah, if any one of you
wants to offer a sacrifice, then he should stop
cutting his hair and nails until he has offered
his sacrifice." [Muslim]
A Sunnah: "The Prophet (peace and blessings of
Allaah be upon him) used to fast on the first 9
days of Dhul-Hijjah and the day of ‘Ashoora’,
and 3 days each month - the first Monday and
2 Thursdays of the month". [Nasaa’i, Abu
Dawood]
Fasting on the Day of ‘Arafaah. He s.a.w said,
"It expiates for the sins of the previous year and
of the coming year." [Muslim]
"There is no day on which Allaah frees more
people from the Fire than the Day of ‘Arafaah.
He comes close and expresses His pride to the
angels, saying, ‘What do these people
want?’" [Muslim]
Takbeer of Tashreeq:
After each Fardh Salaah Recite from Fajr of 9th
Dhul Hijjah until Asr of 13th "Allaahu Akbar,
Allaahu Akbar,
Laa ilaaha il-lAllaahu,
WAllaahu Akbar
Allaahu Akbar,
Wa Lil-laahil-hamd
(Allaah is the Greatest,
Allaah is the Greatest,
there is no god but Allaah; Allaah is the
Greatest
and to Allaah be all praise),"

The Messenger (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said, "All my nation will enter the Paradise except those who refuse." The companions asked, "O Rasulullah! Who would refuse?" He (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) then said, "Whoever obeys me will enter Paradise and whoever disobeys me has indeed refused (to go to Paradise)."

ﻭﻋﻦ ﻋﺎﺋﺸﺔ ﺭﺿﻲ ﺍﻟﻠﻪ ﻋﻨﻬﺎ ﻗﺎﻟﺖ: ﻗﻠﺖ ﻳﺎ ﺭﺳﻮﻝ

" ﻟَﻜُﻦّ ﺃﻓﻀﻞ ﺍﻟﺠﻬﺎﺩ ﺣﺞ ﻣﺒﺮﻭﺭ" (( ﺭﻭﺍﻩ ﺍﻟﺒﺨﺎﺭﻱ))
Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him)
reported:
The Messenger of Allah (pbuh ) delivered a Khutbah
and said, "O people! Hajj (pilgrimage to the
House of Allah) has been made incumbent upon
you, so perform Hajj." A man inquired: "O
Messenger of Allah, is it prescribed every year?"
He ( ﷺpbuh ) remained silent till the man repeated it
thrice. Then he ( ﷺpbuh ) said, "Had I replied in the
affirmative, it would have surely become
obligatory, and you would not have been able to
fulfill it." Afterwards he said, "Do not ask me so
long as I do not impose anything upon you,
because those who were before you were
destroyed on account of their frequent questioning
and their disagreement with their Prophets. So
when I order you to do something, do it as far as
you can; and when I forbid you from doing
anything, eschew it."
[Muslim] .
