Beyond “Seen” and “Checked”: Better Remarks Every Teacher Should Use

Teachers, let’s be honest 😊
That small space at the end of a learner’s note may look insignificant, but what you write there can either inspire a child or silently discourage them.

When we write only “Seen” or “Checked,” the message a child reads is:

“My work doesn’t really matter.”

But with just a few intentional words, that same space can say:

“I see you. I value your effort. You can grow.”

🚸 *HERE ARE SOME BACK TO SCHOOL ROAD SAFETY TIPS FOR CHILDREN 🚸*

*_The Aim of the Tips is to Ensure that Children Stay Safe On Their Way To and From School_*

🛑 *Stop, Look & Listen*
Always stop at the edge of the road. Look left, right, and left again before crossing.

🚶‍♂️ *Use the Zebra Crossing*
Cross only at pedestrian crossings or traffic lights when available.

👀 *Stay Alert*
Do not play, run, or use phones while walking on the road.

🤝 *Hold an Adult’s Hand*
Young children should always walk with an adult or older sibling.
The adult will be the intermediary between the road and the child.

🚌 Be *Careful Around School Buses*
Wait for the bus to stop completely before getting on or off.

🚗 *Watch Out for Vehicles*
Never assume a driver can see you—make eye contact before crossing.

🎒 *Walk on the Sidewalk*
If there is no sidewalk, walk facing oncoming traffic.

🕖 *Leave Early for School*
Rushing can cause accidents—always leave home on time.

🌧️ *Be Extra Careful in Rainy Weather*
Roads are slippery and visibility may be poor.

🦺 *Wear Bright or Reflective Clothing*
This helps drivers see you clearly, especially in the morning.

Heavenly Father,

On this holy night of Jesus’ birth, we lift up every friend and every family member scattered across the world. Bless the hearts in Lagos, London, New York, Dubai, Accra, Toronto e.t.c every corner where a loved one dwells.

Grant them peace that passes understanding, health for their bodies and minds, provision for their needs, and joy that shines brighter than any Christmas light. May the newborn King bring hope to the lonely, comfort to the grieving, strength to the weary, and love that unites us all despite distance or difference.

Protect our children, guide our elders, mend broken relationships, and open doors for new opportunities. Let the spirit of generosity fill our homes, and may our gatherings‑‑whether virtual or in‑person‑‑reflect the kindness and unity You model for us.
