Its only about 4 weeks from the October SAT date, October 5th, 2019. While we wish all candidates well, we believe the guides below will aid you prepare better.

Focus on Your Weak Spots

It’s tempting to just “study” by taking a bunch of practice tests, but that can only help your scores so much. Now is the time to drill down into your mistakes, analyze and learn the reasons why you made such. Strive to understand the route to the correct answer and why your answer choice was incorrect. I guarantee you should start seeing major improvements in your skill.

Be Time-Conscious

Consciously experiment with estimating how much time you’re spending on each practice test. This will help you get a sense of how long 30 seconds or a minute feels so you'll know when you need to skip questions on the real test.
Specifically, you shouldn't be spending more than a minute on SAT Reading questions or more than 30-45 seconds on SAT Writing questions; on the Math section, spending less time on the initial questions, and quickly brushing through is advised. This is so that you will have more time to deal with the more demanding questions. You technically have more time per question on the calculator part than on the no calculator part, but it's better to be safe than sorry.

Use Evidence in Your Essay

For those taking the essay portion of the new SAT, you'll have to read a passage and analyze the author's argument. Make sure that you use direct evidence from the passage to back up your points and show the validity of your analysis. When reading the passage, underline any sentences or phrases that you think you might use in your essay to explain how the author builds an argument. This is highly important.

Using Everything and taking Shortcuts

If you think you couldn’t possibly figure out the answer to a question, make sure you engage all resources at your disposal before guessing. Remember that this isn’t like a normal test. No one cares if you show your work or use the “right” method to solve a problem, so take shortcuts to solutions if you can find them. This applies to all sections of the SAT except the Essay of course.

Reading

On reading, don’t be intimidated by an unknown word. Especially on the new version of the SAT, you can almost always use context clues to approximate its definition. Save time by skimming the passages in the reading section when you first get to them. If you need to, you can read certain sections more closely later-on to answer specific questions. If the answer isn’t directly supported by what you read in the passage, please don’t choose it.

Writing and trap-answers

Trap-answers are recurring features on the SAT. Watch out for the “no change” answers. If you notice you’re getting a lot of them (if more than a quarter of your answers to questions that have "no change" as an option), check those questions again to make sure you didn’t miss something. Study the grammar rules that are on the SAT, follow them, and don’t overthink it.

Math

Sometimes math problems will give you a diagram of a shape, and you're required to find an area, angle measurement, or other dimension. Usually, the most logical answer based on what you see is correct. For example, if you're trying to find the measurement of a tiny-looking acute angle, you can rule out 80 degrees as an answer; that’s common sense!
Be smart about when you need the calculator and when it's faster to just do things the old-fashioned way. You should also review the list of formulas you should know for the SAT as you approach your test day.
If you start to do something crazy and complicated for a math problem, you’re probably going down the wrong path! The SAT tests simple concepts that are sometimes presented in weird formats. Do not forget this!

Hope this helps you as you prepare. Hit like and tag some of your friends who are SAT candidates and consequently need this information.

We are now admitting candidates interested in the next SAT schedule being December 7th, 2019.

DO YOU KNOW that the SAT has undergone its biggest change in 30 years? The New SAT made its debut in March 2016 and its content is very similar to that of ACT.

Students have to reason their way through this exam by tackling problems in a linear and sequential fashion; a student’s ability to process information quickly is key and only a TRAINED candidate can deal with it!

The new SAT presents each topic in one big chunk of time rather than dividing them into several shorter sections. The only exception is Math, which for the first time, is divided into a “calculator permitted” and “calculator prohibited” section. The Essay section now comes at the end of the SAT, and the decision to take it (the essay) is left to the student.

When you take the SAT, you’ll get a 5-minute break after about every hour of testing. That means you’ll get a break after the Reading section and a second one after the Math No Calculator. If you’re taking the Essay section, you’ll also get a break before starting. The test is American based so I hope you appreciate the style.

The test has also become more transparent about what you’ll encounter on each individual section of the SAT.

CHOOSING THE BEST SAT TEST DATE FOR YOU

It’s critical you choose an SAT test date that’ll work well for not just anyone but you specifically. Below

When Are Your College Application Deadlines?

By far the most important factors are your college application deadlines. In the US, most deadlines fall around January 1 (for regular decision) and November 1 or 15 (for early birds/early decision).

The College Board sends SAT scores to schools (for your four free score reports) beginning one day before online score release, or approximately three to five weeks after the exam. However, not all schools process scores straight away; in fact, some might take a week or so to report scores. As a result, you might have to wait at most around few weeks after your test date for your schools to officially process your SAT scores.

And this doesn't even include the extra time needed to process orders for additional score reports (if you have more than four schools you want to send scores to). Ordering these reports will add at least another week or two once scores are released.

Therefore, as a rule, don't take the SAT less than five or six weeks before your college apps are due. If you'll be ordering additional score reports after your scores come out, stick with test dates more than two weeks before your deadlines.

Remember that if your schools don't receive or process your SAT scores in time, your application could get disqualified! So plan accordingly.

MOST PEOPLE KNOW THAT SPORTS IS A HUGE ENTERPRISE U.S UNIVERSITIES HAVE INTEREST IN. Asides that teams often play in front of over 100,000 fans in fantastic stadiums on the university campuses watched by millions of people on ESPN every week, the support and passion for the sports teams is as passionate as most club sports in the world. This is the Dream!

College sports is the primary stage that feeds athletes into the professional game. The likes of Tiger Woods, John Isner, Michael Jordan, Missy Franklin, Mia Hamm, Clint Dempsey were college athletes in the US.

With over USD 1 billion in the picture (as at 2017), universities are in search of student athletes for championships in the NCAA.

However, university coaches and admission executives consider the following when seeking an athlete:

+Fantastic Athletic Skill
This isn’t a jamboree, this is pro level sports, and dexterity cannot be over emphasized! Apart from proving great skills during application, the athlete will need to deliver results when eventually given scholarship and recruited into the sports team. This is one of the ways to retain the scholarship

+Good Grades
A lot of aspiring student athletes make the mistake of thinking that grades don’t matter when it comes to soccer scholarships abroad. But the truth is that grades matter just as much as your athletic abilities.
Especially for beginners, your ability to get good grades while playing high school soccer is a sign that you will be able to handle the academic demands of student athlete life. As a student athlete on a soccer scholarship, you will be expected to maintain a full course load, find time to study, and still deal with hours of training. Moreover, if you don’t maintain a certain GPA as a student athlete, you will lose your soccer scholarship!

+Early Bird
Although all early applicants (early bird) are considered for the best scholarships by university admission officials, early application is especially and highly recommended to those seeking athlete scholarships. This is because of the additional requirements needed for this purpose.

15th November of every year is the priority period for Early birds to submit their SAT scores as well as other admission requirements. This means that if you don’t have a SAT score yet, you just have one window, the next SAT date being October 5th 2019. But if you have a test score, then get right to it and resume your application!
