What if the way you've been introducing yourself is making it harder for clients to understand your value?
After the very first class of our October cohort, Nnenna shared a lesson that stood out to her: instead of simply introducing herself as a virtual assistant, she needs to communicate the solution she provides and the people she helps.
For example, rather than stopping at âI'm a virtual assistant,â she could explain that she provides executive assistance to CEOs and founders.
That shift matters because clients aren't simply looking for impressive job titles. They want to understand what you can take off their plate, which problems you can help them solve and how your skills fit into their work.
Nnenna also mentioned that about 70% of the tools and software discussed were new to her but she's ready to learn them and keep moving.
That's what learning should look like: discovering what you don't know, gaining a clearer understanding of how to position your skills and being willing to put in the work to improve.
And this is only the first class of the October cohort!
At Career Crafters Academy, the goal is to help learners build practical digital skills and understand how to position those skills for the opportunities they want to pursue.
Nnenna, thank you for sharing your takeaways! We're rooting for you throughout this journey. â¤ď¸
