Gaza’s Elderly Unable to Stand Due to Israeli- Made Severe Starvation
Elderly Palestinians in Gaza are collapsing under the weight of extreme hunger as the Israeli siege continues to block vital food supplies. In many areas, aid organizations report that older citizens are too weak to stand or walk, with some confined to beds or floors due to malnutrition and dehydration.
Local doctors say the elderly are among the most vulnerable, often sacrificing their limited food portions for younger family members. Many suffer from low blood pressure, muscle loss, and dizziness, conditions worsened by the absence of medicine and basic nutrition.
“What we’re seeing is starvation taking away their strength, their dignity, and their lives,” said a medical volunteer in northern Gaza.
With no access to consistent meals, electricity, or health care, Gaza’s elderly population is now facing a slow, silent death. Humanitarian agencies are calling for urgent international action to deliver food and medical aid to those most at risk
