SPECTRE vs. SCEPTRE.
In my line of work, everything is a muse: I was watching ANIKULAPO 2 over the weekend and boooom ... these words jumped at me, so I thought to render my public service to y'all ππ

When a fellow poet and writer pours accolades on you...
This is the kind of feedback I need to make my day on a day like this!

Today's CCW are:
1. Upstart/Startup/Start-up
2. Upcoming/Up-and-Coming
3. Suit/Suite & Older/Elder
My WCW is ME. Yes, me! dGrammarQueen's WCW this Wednesday is dGrammarQueen.
I salute myself for my drive, tenacity and kind heart. The grind hasn't been easy, but I'm doing it. Sometimes, I want to baulk, but, hey, there is no place for giving up, right? Right!
I encourage me. And I encourage you, too. Get up... Let's go!
Okay, I have to go now. I'm done with the pep-talk. Work calls: tons of audio scripts and text to transcribe and edit.
Enjoy your Wednesday.
Jah bless.

I Apologise On Behalf Of All Of Us, Mr. Apostrophe.
Lately, I've observed the wrong use of the apostrophe everywhere, viz, print media, social media, online news media, everywhere; so,...
Assiduous work is ongoing on my book, 'Biographies Are A Joke'; finishing touches here and there.

TUESDAY MORNING ALERT!!!
Please be informed thusly:
There is REAP and there is RIP.
Another word for REAP is to harvest (Verb).
RIP, as a verb, means (of something), to tear off/tear away/tear apart forcefully.
Now, to cheat someone, steal from (someone), obtain something from someone on the sly is TO RIP (SOMEONE) OFF, not reap (someone) off.
I needed to clear that.
Ndewo nu!

Last week was fun, though: I was mired in WORK, and was only able to come up for air by 7pm on Friday evening, after a week-long consulting I handled for an NGO, which ended with a two-day staff team-building retreat.
Phew! But, it was fun!
Word For Today? RUNNEL \run.l\ and EFFLUENT \eh.floo.ent\.
They are both nouns meaning:
1. Runnel - A gutter or small stream.
2. Effluent - Liquid waste or sewage discharged into the sea.
Do something this week: enjoy it!
Ciao.

I Got A Manuscript Yesterday.
The author is on a tight schedule, which I usually always get, but, hey, dGrammarQueen is equal to it...
One is a collection of short stories, flash fiction and poems. The second one is a business writing textbook and the last is a compendium of my Word For Today and CCW With dGrammarQueen Series.
I'm excited. And, afraid, I must say.
Wish me luck.
Before I go, the Word For Today is: SEGUE, pronounced \seg.wei\...
