HAS GOD CHANGED?

My answer is NO! Yet, I know some people will tell me that He uses different method to spread the Gospel and so it is unwise to talk about men who have begun to age in the work of the Lord.

But I strongly disagree with this clever turn of argument. And let's face the fact now!

Every informed mind knows that a people without sense of history is bound to repeat the blunders their forebears made. But those who keep their heritage sacred by way of consulting history will not only avoid dangerous past mistakes, they will build on the legacies their forebears left behind and even raise the tally very high.

When you listen to Rev. Dr. Uma Ukpai, Rev. Mosy Madugba, Rev. Isaac Omolehim, the late Bishop Benson Idahosa, and those of his age, you will see something that is very different from what we see today.

The stories they tell of how God used them is so clear and interactive , natural and real that after listening to them, you will see the weaknesses of man in the whole picture and the majesty of God in them as well.

They don't forget to mention areas their human frailties came into the whole show; or how they reacted to certain things God told them to do, things they did that showed they were still common humans.

In fact, the funniest part is how some of them interpreted or saw what God asked them to do, or how they reacted to what God had used them to do, reactions that showed they, too, were amazed at the whole thing God did through them.

Their kinds of stubbornness for and in God can be quite funny. You will see them as fools, yet in the end, that their foolishness would end up leading to events that showed they actually heard from God, and God, truly, was the One who did everything they speak of through them.

You will see how a weak mortal was used by the mighty God to do the unthinkable in such a way that even you, the listener, will notice a hunger to be used in the same way stirring your soul and spirit within.

Their message can be amusing, penetrating, and humbling that after you hear them, any trace of doubt about the existence of God flees from your very mind. God and Jesus becomes so tangible to you that in the next coming days, you feel strongly drawn to seek Him in your private room.

And the strangest thing in their messages have always borne evangelism and soul winning at the center. You will see that after God has finished using them to talk, instead of the witnesses or their listeners to see them as superhumans, men and women are led to fall on their knees in awe for God.

That is not like that today.

Our preachers today will tell you their stories and the end will leave you becoming more greedy and impatient for material things. They tell their tales with arrogant air that leaves you mostly being fascinated by their flashy looks and polished grammar. When they speak, you can feel and smell artificiallity in every word that oozes.out of their mouths.

Their stories are so shallow, lifeless and most time out of touch with the natural realities the people expect to feel when things have to do with God.

Their testimonies, rather than flood men's heart with liquid joys of divine ministrations,.fill people's hearts with jubilation stirred by selfishness, envy, vendetta, and impatience energy.

Someone says we cannot see things the same way. And I say Not when it has to do with the God that cbangeth not.

While I am sure there are still 7000 people who still loves the Lord the way our fathers did and are.still standing firm in their faith therein, I call on the present day church to heed this call from the Bible that says:

"Thus saith the Lord, stand in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for thy souls."

Unfortunately, the generation we have today has not differed from the same generation God gave this message above through Jeremiah, as he wrote in chapter 6 verse 16. What did they say? "But they said, We will not walk therein!"

Do not be amazed when you see in the comment section how some people will come around to write expressions that confirm, through logic, that they have vowed never to go back to the ancient paths, where the good way is,.to walk in them, just because this is a different generation or modern age.

May the Lord have mercy on us all in Jesus' name. Amen. Rapture is still coming. And it is right around the corner. Bear this in mind at all times. The Lord bless you all in Jesus' name.

THEIR TESTIMONIES ARE RELATABLE, SIMPLE, EXPLAINABLE, DOWN-TO-EARTH, AT HOME WITH THE LISTENERS, AND SO REAL THAT YOU CAN EASILY SEE HOW GOD DID EVERYTHING THEY SAY, WHILE THEY DID VIRTUALLY NOTHING.

BUT OUR PREACHERS TODAY? WHEN THEY BEGIN TO TELL THEIRS, YOU WILL BE WONDERING IF WHAT THEY ARE SAYING HAPPENED ON THIS EARTH.

THEIR WORDS AND MANNER OF SPEECH SOUND SWOLLEN, FULL OF BIG BIG ENGLISH, THEIR EYES AND ENERGY EXUDING PROFUSELY, AND THE DRY AND MECHANICAL FORCE WITH WHICH THEY TALK MAKE YOU SEE NOTHING THERE THAT GOD DID. THEY DID EVERYTHING; AND GOD ALMOST NOTHING!

IN THE END, YOU LEAVE THERE TELLING WHOEVER CARES TO LISTEN "THIS IS WONDERFUL!" WHEN YOUR SPIRIT CANNOT ABSORB WHAT THEY HAD TOLD.

THIS IS BIG RED FLAG ON THE SPIRITUALITY OF OUR PRESENT DAY CHURCH!

THE DAY YOU LEARN TO SINCERELY ANSWER THE QUESTIONS THAT START WITH THE WORD, "WHY," DIRECTED TO EVERYTHING YOU DO IN THE NAME OF WORSHIPPING GOD, SERVING GOD AND PROMOTING HIS KINGDOM, THAT DAY YOU WILL KNOW WHO YOUR TRUE GOD IS.
