DEPARTMENT OF MASS COMMUNICATION PAYS CONGRATULATORY VISIT TO BAZE UNIVERSITY VICE CHANCELLOR

On Monday, 11th May 2026, the Department of Mass Communication, led by the Head of Department, Dr. Hamisu Sanni Muhammad, paid a congratulatory visit to the Vice Chancellor of Baze University, Prof. Adeniyi Abiodun, to celebrate his well-deserved appointment.

During the visit, Dr. Hamisu congratulated the Vice Chancellor on his new achievement and reaffirmed the department’s full support towards ensuring a successful and impactful tenure.

In his response, Prof. Adeniyi Abiodun, a foundational member of the department, expressed deep appreciation to the team for their unwavering support throughout his journey as HOD, Dean of the Postgraduate School, Registrar, and now Vice Chancellor. He assured the department of his continued support and commitment to its growth and excellence.

He also thanked the team for the thoughtful visit and encouraged them to continue upholding the high standards and values of both the department and the institution.

LUBABATU SANUSI DANFULANI EMERGES OVERALL BEST GRADUATING STUDENT AS BAZE UNIVERSITY INDUCTS 17 RADIOGRAPHY PROFESSIONALS 🎓✨

Baze University inducted 17 new Radiography professionals during the 2nd Induction and Oath-Taking Ceremony organised by the Department of Radiography and Radiation Sciences, College of Medicine & Health Sciences, held on May 14, 2026.

A major highlight of the event was the recognition of Miss Lubabatu Sanusi Danfulani as the Overall Best Graduating Student of the Class of 2026.

The ceremony brought together members of the University management, healthcare professionals, families, and invited guests to celebrate the achievements of the graduating class.

The event also featured a lecture on “Artificial Intelligence and the Future of Radiography” delivered by Prof. Joseph Zira Dlama.

Baze University continues to strengthen its commitment to training competent healthcare professionals for Nigeria and the global community.

BAZE UNIVERSITY FACULTY OF LAW HOLDS 2ND PHD EXTERNAL PROJECT DEFENCE

On Wednesday, April 22, 2026, the Faculty of Law, Baze University, successfully conducted its 2nd PhD External Project Defence at the Faculty Board Room.

The External Examiner was Prof. Lawrence O. Ogiji of the Department of Private Law, Benue State University, Makurdi.

Three candidates, I. B. Ibrahim, S. K. Agwu, and A. Khalil, presented and successfully defended their doctoral research, covering electronic waste management, clinical legal education and social justice, and commercial arbitration under the Arbitration and Mediation Act, 2023.

The Dean of the Faculty of Law expressed appreciation to the External Examiner for his professionalism and commitment to maintaining high academic standards, while also commending the candidates for their scholarly contributions.

Baze University, in partnership with the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC), commemorated the 20th anniversary of the African Court on Human and Peoples’ Rights (AfCHPR) with a public lecture.

The lecture was delivered by Hon. Lady Justice Stella Isibhakhomen Anukam, Judge of the African Court on Human and Peoples’ Rights, who highlighted the Court’s journey, key achievements, and its enduring role in advancing justice and strengthening human rights protection across Africa.

The Department of Microbiology, Faculty of Natural and Applied Sciences successfully conducted its PGD External Examination on March 30, 2026.

Our postgraduate students showcased outstanding research addressing critical public health and scientific challenges, from antibiotic susceptibility in diabetic wound infections to water quality and its implications for community health. 🧫🔬

We commend the dedication of our students, supervisors, and faculty members, and appreciate the presence of our External Examiner, Prof. Kolo Ibrahim, alongside the Dean, Head of Department, staff, and postgraduate community.
