People who make undemocratic statements like the Kuje Chairman’s are in dire need of help. No reasonable person should utter such divisive nonsense in the name of politics. Dem just dey paint the entire party in a bad light kawai🙄

Politics follows power..not necessarily loyalty, competence or hard work. Once you have ‘influence’, suddenly everyone remembers your ‘value’🫠

Why does the Presidency think Queen Saphy cannot serve as a Director or Deputy Director in the PCC?

With my extensive experience in Banking, Finance, Administration and organisational leadership, I am fully equipped to handle Finance and Fundraising, Logistics and Operations..or even Strategic Communications.

Competence, commitment and years of service should count for something. Honestly, this is not cool at all.

Abuja is gradually becoming a flooded city. Very sad, gaskiya.

One cannot keep converting green areas, parks, buffers and other spaces originally incorporated into Abuja’s planning for environmental balance into residential and commercial developments, cover everywhere with concrete, and then act surprised when the city struggles with flooding.

The continued alteration of Abuja’s land use under successive FCT administrations is something we really need to interrogate. And under the current administration, concerns about the conversion and reallocation of designated green areas cannot simply be dismissed.

Any current policy that continues converting designated green areas, increasing development density or altering natural drainage corridors is likely to aggravate an already well-documented flooding problem.

Green spaces are part of a city’s flood-management infrastructure; so are functional drains and properly covered manholes. We cannot keep increasing concrete surfaces and development density while neglecting basic drainage infrastructure, then wonder why flash flooding is becoming increasingly common.

Abuja was deliberately planned. The Federal Government really needs to protect what remains of that plan. The President and the National Assembly must act now to halt further distortions, safeguard the integrity of our Federal Capital, and protect lives and properties from the increasingly dangerous consequences of flooding.

Development is good, but development without environmental sustainability will eventually come at a severe cost🙁

I just watched Dark Light, and it left me thinking about the devastating, often unseen consequences of prolonged domestic violence.

Abuse can deform the victim as much as it destroys the victim. A woman can be pushed so far that eventually, the distinction between escape, revenge and justice becomes blurred.

And perhaps that is one of the most disturbing realities of sustained abuse: beyond the physical wounds, it can gradually alter a person’s responses, judgement and even their sense of what survival means.

Dark Light forces us into that uncomfortable space where we can understand without necessarily justifying, and sympathise without necessarily approving.

Sometimes, the question is not simply, “What did this person do?” but also: “What happened to this person, repeatedly and over time, to bring them to this point?”

A dark, uncomfortable and thought-provoking watch.

No spoilers from me ooo… goan watch it here:

The people aren’t just aware; they are ready to defend their votes.

Still doesn’t change the fact that APC is Osun and Osun is APC🫠

‘Aanu’ by BisiManuel is a beautiful reminder of God’s Mercy. Whether we open the Bible or the Qur’an, we are reminded of one timeless truth: God is the ultimate source of mercy. His mercy is greater than our failures, stronger than our guilt, and deeper than we can fully comprehend.

The Bible reminds us that “His mercies are new every morning” (Lamentations 3:22–23), assuring us that every new day is evidence that God has not given up on us.

The Qur’an echoes this hope when Allah says, “My mercy encompasses all things” (Qur’an 7:156), assuring us that His mercy is greater than our shortcomings and extends to all of His creation.

May the mercy of God go before us, walk beside us, and follow us all the days of our lives. May our hearts never grow weary of extending to others the same mercy we have so freely received. Ameen🤲🏾

Have a blessed week ahead🤍
