Last Saturday, May 16, 2026, I had the honour of participating as a Guest Speaker at the International Boy Child Day Celebration organized by the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Region 23, on the theme: "Real Boys to Real Men."
It was a memorable and impactful gathering focused on raising boys into responsible, purpose-driven, and God-fearing men.
I was delighted to share the platform with Dr. Emmanuel Efe Emefienim, CON, FCIB, Managing Director/CEO of Premium Trust Bank, who delivered the keynote address and shared profound insights on leadership and purposeful living.
During my presentation, I emphasized that true manhood goes beyond age or material success; it is built on character, discipline, integrity, responsibility, and the fear of God. I encouraged the young people present not merely to grow older, but to grow wiser and become better versions of themselves.
My sincere appreciation goes to Pastor Olumide Olufemi, Pastor in Charge of RCCG Region 23, Warri, for the honour of inviting me to contribute to such a noble initiative. I equally appreciate my numerous colleagues, associates, and friends who accompanied and supported me at the programme.
May God continue to guide our boys as they grow into real men and future leaders.

Driving Change: Reimagining Transport Infrastructure in the South-South
Yesterday, 18th April 2026, I had the privilege of serving as Guest Lecturer at the inauguration of Engr. Gradeone Ogheneovo Idama as the 5th Chairman of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), Ughelli Branch.
It was more than a ceremony—it was a convergence of ideas, leadership, and a shared commitment to national development.
Speaking on “The State of Transport Infrastructure in the South-South: The Need for Urgent Attention,” I emphasized a simple but urgent truth: our region cannot continue to power the nation’s economy while operating on weak and overstretched transport systems.
The reality is stark—overburdened roads, failing corridors like the East–West Road, underutilized waterways, and the absence of viable rail alternatives. These are not just infrastructure gaps; they are barriers to growth.
But there is hope—and more importantly, a clear pathway forward. We must act deliberately through integrated multimodal transport systems, resilient and forward-thinking engineering designs, a disciplined maintenance culture, innovative financing through PPPs, and strong synergy between engineering expertise and policy leadership. Let it be clear: the cost of doing nothing is far greater than the cost of fixing it.
My sincere appreciation goes to the Chairman of the Occasion and President of NSE, Engr. Ali Alimasuya Rabiu, FNSE, FASCE, FAEng, MFR, for his leadership; and to Chief Daniel Omoyibo, MD/CEO, Damotech Nig. Ltd and Dantinago Gold Resort, Oleh, for his support.
I congratulate the newly installed Chairman, Engr. Gradeone Ogheneovo Idama, and commend his predecessor, Engr. Ejiro Iwemah, for his service. I also commend the NSE Ughelli Branch for providing this important platform for thought leadership and professional engagement.
It was indeed a colourful and well-organized event. The time for diagnosis is over—the time for ex*****on is now. Together, we will build systems that match our potential.

From Scholarship to Societal Impact: My Engagement with DELSU Postgraduate Scholars
Yesterday, 7th April, 2026, I had the honour of participating in the Postgraduate Leadership, Research & Career Advancement Summit organized by the Postgraduate Students Association of Nigeria (PGSAN), Delta State University, Abraka.
At the event, I served in a dual capacity—representing the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Samuel O. Asagba, and delivering the keynote address.
The summit was graced by Principal Officers of the University, the Dean of the Postgraduate School, Deans of Faculties, distinguished scholars, and an inspiring assembly of postgraduate students.
Speaking on the theme:
“The Postgraduate Scholar as a Leader: Driving Research, Ethics, and National Development,”
I emphasized a simple but profound truth:
👉 Postgraduate education is not merely about earning degrees—it is about shaping leaders, advancing knowledge, and solving real societal problems.
At the heart of my message was the call for scholars to move beyond theory and embrace impact. A true postgraduate scholar must become:
• a thought leader
• a solution provider
• a moral compass in society
We reflected on the critical pillars of impactful scholarship:
✔ Research that is relevant and solution-driven
✔ Ethical integrity as the foundation of academic excellence
✔ Leadership rooted in service, vision, and responsibility
✔ Commitment to national development through innovation
To our postgraduate scholars, I left a clear charge:
Let your research speak beyond the pages of your thesis. Let it influence policy, transform communities, and inspire sustainable progress.
This message aligns strongly with the vision of the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Samuel O. Asagba, whose administration continues to prioritize academic excellence, impactful research, innovation, and the production of graduates who are globally competitive and nationally relevant.
I commend the leadership of PGSAN and the Postgraduate School for organizing this impactful summit and celebrate the passion, intellect, and promise of our postgraduate scholars.
The time has come for postgraduate scholars to rise beyond credentials and become architects of national transformation—where knowledge is not only acquired, but deployed with purpose, integrity, and measurable impact, in line with the University’s vision for excellence and relevance.

From Resurrection to Excellence: Highlights from My Easter Keynote Lecture
Yesterday, 4th April, I had the privilege of presenting a keynote lecture at the Pre Inauguration of the Redeemed Christian Fellowship Centre, Dennis Osadebay University, Asaba, powered by RCCG Unity Model Parish, Asaba.
The lecture, titled: “The Secret of Academic, Research, and Professional Excellence Through the Power of Resurrection,” provided a moment of deep reflection on the true meaning of Easter, not just as a celebration, but as a call to rise.
I informed all present that the resurrection of Jesus Christ is not merely an event; it is a transformative power available to every believer.
I emphasized that true excellence, whether academic, professional, or personal, is not accidental. Rather, it is built on enduring principles such as:
a renewed mind that embraces transformation;
a clear sense of purpose that drives intentional living;
the discipline of the cross, reflected in sacrifice and hard work;
the strength of meaningful relationships; and
the foundation of integrity, which sustains lasting impact.
Above all, I highlighted the ultimate force behind uncommon achievement:
The power of resurrection, which lifts individuals from mediocrity into excellence and from struggle into influence.
I sincerely appreciate the Pastor in Charge of Region 34, Pastor John Oyomah, Pastor Benson Ojoko, and the entire organising team for the honour to share in such a rich and impactful gathering.
As we continue in the spirit of Easter, may we all rise in our thinking, in our discipline, in our purpose, and in our impact.
Do not just celebrate the resurrection, become a product of it.
Happy Easter, and God bless us all.

WORKSHOP ON ADMINISTRATIVE ETHICS AND SCHOLARSHIP
On Monday, 30th March, 2026, I had the privilege of participating in a highly impactful workshop on Administrative Ethics and Scholarship at Delta State University, Abraka.
The event was graciously hosted by the Dean, Faculty of Education, Prof. Mrs. Florence Ugoji, and brought together distinguished scholars and colleagues from across the University.
I was honoured to play a dual role—representing the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Samuel O. Asagba, and serving as the keynote speaker—in engaging our lecturers, particularly our newly employed academic staff in the Faculty of Education.
The workshop was well attended by prominent professors, especially from the Faculty of Education, as well as Principal Officers of the University, either in person or by representation.
At the heart of my engagement was a simple but powerful message: the strength of any university lies not only in its academic output, but in the ethical standards that guide its operations.
I emphasized the role of lecturers as:
custodians of knowledge;
builders of character; and
guardians of institutional integrity.
In line with the vision of the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Samuel O. Asagba, DELSU remains firmly committed to:
✔ Integrity in teaching and assessment
✔ Accountability in academic processes
✔ Professional conduct at all times.
I stated unequivocally that:
ethics is non-negotiable for any lecturer who seeks to grow and make lasting impact in the profession.
To our newly employed lecturers, the charge is clear:
build your careers not just on knowledge, but on character.
Together, we will continue to strengthen a university system anchored on excellence, discipline, and global relevance.
To God be all the glory!
