COSMOPOLITAN UNIVERSITY WELCOMES NEW STUDENTS WITH AN EXCITING ABUJA CITY TOUR

Our newly admitted students recently embarked on an exciting Abuja City Tour, exploring some of the city’s notable cultural, artistic, and recreational landmarks.

The tour was headed by Miss Zainab Attahiru, who led the students through an engaging sightseeing and cultural experience.

The students visited Nike Art Gallery, Millennium Park, the Arts and Culture Centre, and other notable locations across Abuja, creating memorable experiences while discovering the rich cultural heritage and beauty of the Federal Capital Territory.

At Cosmopolitan University, we believe that learning goes beyond the classroom. Experiences like these provide opportunities for students to explore, connect, learn, and build lasting friendships.

Cosmopolitan University, Abuja deeply mourns the demise of Dr. Agboola Gbenga Mayowa,
Senior Lecturer, Department of Business Administration, and Dean of Student Affairs.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, colleagues, friends, students, and loved ones during this difficult time.

Dr. Agboola was a dedicated academic, administrator, and mentor whose contributions to the University and the student community were invaluable. His commitment to academic excellence, leadership, and the welfare of students will be deeply remembered.

His passing is a great loss to Cosmopolitan University, Abuja, and to all who had the privilege of knowing and working with him.

May God grant his family, colleagues, students, and friends the strength and comfort to bear this irreparable loss.

Cosmopolitan University, Abuja, has successfully held its induction programme for newly admitted students, welcoming them into the University community and preparing them for their academic journey.

The programme featured a welcome address by the Vice-Chancellor, who encouraged the new students to embrace academic excellence, discipline, innovation and the opportunities available to them at the University.

The Registrar also welcomed the students and provided important information on university procedures, academic regulations and other essential matters.

The new students also met with their respective Heads of Departments (HODs), who introduced them to their academic programmes, departmental expectations and the various structures within their respective departments.

Another key highlight of the induction was a practical session on how to use the University’s student portal.

Students were guided on how to navigate the portal and access important digital services, including course registration, academic information, results and other student-related services.

The induction programme provided the new students with valuable information and guidance to help them settle into university life and confidently begin their studies at Cosmopolitan University.

REGISTRATION & INDUCTION – DAY 2

Day 2 of the Registration and Induction Programme at Cosmopolitan University was filled with practical learning and valuable information for our new students.

Students were introduced to the exciting possibilities of Artificial Intelligence (AI), including how to:

🤖 Use effective AI prompts to generate useful and accurate information
🖼️ Generate images and creative visuals using AI tools
🎬 Create videos with AI-powered platforms
đź’ˇ Use AI responsibly as a tool for learning, research and creativity

Students also received important guidance on examinations, academic expectations, and other essential university processes to help them begin their academic journey with confidence.

At Cosmopolitan University, we are preparing students not only for today’s classroom, but for the future of work, innovation and technology.
