- Pay ₦1500 to "mami tailors" for resizing khaki trousers and jackets.

*A MUST READ FOR EVERY PCMs* 2026

Another nysc registration season with several things to note and several images from NYSC. Here is a single post digest of all those images.

1.
GENERAL NOTICE
i. PCMs should register with only NYSC accredited cybercafé operators

ii. Do not thumbprint by proxy (meaning don't allow someone else to thumbprint for you).

GENDER AND TITLE MISTAKE ON YOUR PORTAL
Select Correct Title and Gender during Online Registration

Title (Miss, Mrs, Mr)
Gender (Male or female)

3.

TIPS TO Guide PCM FOR DATE OF BIRTH (DOB) CORRECTION
i. Apply for a date of birth correction on your dashboard with WAEC. Get WAEC Verification pin.

ii. The DOB link is active on your dashboard during Online Registration, ensure you make use of it appropriately.

iii. The WAEC Certificate must be equal or more than four (4) years as at the time of graduation.

iv. Do not use another person's WAEC detail to apply. It will be dissaproved.

v. Ensure there is no disparity of names on your WAEC and that of your dashboard.

vi. A notification will be sent to your mail when your application has been processed.

You are expected to log in and check your mobilization status on your dashboard.

vii. If your status did not change, it means you are still exempted. Move on.

viii. Go to your institution after three (3) months and collect your Exemption Certificate.

ix. You can not apply for DOB Correction after Camp Registration.

4.

PROCEDURE TO APPLY FOR CORRECTION OF DATE OF BIRTH
i. Get 19 or 20 digits WAEC Verification Pin from any First Bank branch.

ii. Login to your dashboard with your username and password.

iii. Click on the Date of Birth link.
Enter WAEC Verification Pin, select WAEC Type,

Year of Exam and enter your Examination Number.
iv. Click on the Verify button
Click SUBMIT or CANCEL

5.

THE FOLLOWING CORRECTION ARE ALSO AVAILABLE ON DASHBOARD
i. Correction of Course of Study
ii. Correction of Qualification
iii. Correction of Class of Degree

Your SAO(Student Affairs Officer) will treat the request online

6.

NAME DISCREPANCY
This is to notify PCM's that the addition or removal of names will no longer be allowed on the NYSC portal.

Only the name at Matriculation is allowed for upload on the NYSC portal by the Corps Producing Institution

However, correction of simple spelling mistakes and names re-arrangement are still allowed on your dashboard.

7.

MARRIED PCMs REGISTRATION
Married female PCMs who want to apply for Concessional Posting based on Marital grounds are to upload the following documents;

i. Marriage Certificate
ii. Newspaper change of name ( DM admin for the publication)
iii. Identity of Husband ( National ID, International Passport or Driver's Licence )
iv. Evidence of Husband's State of Residence.
v. Letter from Employee/Utility bill.

8.

DATE OF GRADUATION ISSUES
PCM's with discrepancies in their Date of Graduation as uploaded on the NYSC portal and the date on their Statement of Results will not be registered in the Orientation Camp.

PCMs should sort out such issues with the Student Affairs Officers (SAO) before reporting to the camp.

Foreign-trained graduates should enter the exact date of graduation on their certificate during online registration.

9.

DATE OF GRADUATION FORMAT
The correct format for the date of graduation on the Statement of Result is
Day/Month/Year

PCM is advised to take note of this

10.

STATE OF ORIGIN ISSUE
The State of Origin of the PCMs used for NYSC mobilization emanates from the Jamb database. It can not be changed after registration.

11.

ADDITIONAL
PCM's who are serving in the Armed forces should indicate and upload necessary documents during Online Registration, requirement for exemption include;

i. Enter Service Number
ii. Upload Letter of Enlistment
iii. Upload introductory letter from the command
iv. Upload Official ID Card

Also, note that part-time graduates are to register online so as to enable them to print their Exclusion Letter on their dashboard.

*PAY ATTENTION TO THIS*

As we prepare for 2026 Batch C Online Registration, please take note of these important points:

🔹 REGISTRATION MAY TAKE HOURS

Have it in mind that NYSC registration may take a good part of your day. Plan properly before heading to the cyber café. If the portal/server is slow or unstable, registration may even take 1–2 days to complete.

🔹 PREPARE FOR NETWORK/SERVER ISSUES

Poor network and server challenges are common during registration and may happen again. Please eat before going for registration and prepare yourself for a long wait. Especially for pregnant women and nursing mothers — abeg, make una no go faint o 🧏🏾😂.

🔹 DRESS PROPERLY 👕📸
Please dress decently and properly for registration. You will be required to take a live photo, so avoid going to the café looking unkempt.

⚠️ There is no need to upload a passport photograph during the registration process. Your captured image will be used on your NYSC dashboard and, where applicable, your NYSC certificate.

🔹 YOU MUST BE PHYSICALLY PRESENT
Do not send someone to register for you. Your presence is required because you will undergo fingerprint biometric capture and facial/live photo capture. 🧏🏾‍♂️🧏🏾‍♀️

🔹 USE AN ACCREDITED CYBER CAFÉ
Before proceeding with your registration, make sure the café is NYSC-accredited. Avoid random cafés that may not be authorized to handle NYSC registration.

Prepare yourself early and avoid last-minute stress.

DISADVANTAGE:
The above listed emails are not advisable because the emails can disappear at anytime, you may loss information or have the emails deleted permanently.

WHY SHOULD YOU USE THEM
You are only advised to use them if you can remember your password at anytime asked for because if you loss your NYSC password and loss the emails, automatically you have finished NYSC without passing out.

While Gmail.com and Yahoomail.com are best advised to be used. They delay in delivery of confirmation codes but if you are the patient one, stick to them. They remain the best.

_A lot of PCMs are confused about how the 30-year age limit for NYSC mobilisation is calculated. Here’s the simple explanation 👇_

*⏳ READ THIS CAREFULLY AND SHARE WITH SOMEONE WHO NEEDS IT*.

*📌 HOW IS THE MOBILISATION AGE CALCULATED ❓*

Your NYSC mobilisation age is determined using your date of birth and your graduation date.

```🟢 The key point is your age at the time of graduation — not necessarily your current age.```

*📍 Always check your Statement of Result/Certificate for your official graduation date.*

*📍 Date Of Birth Is Taken From JAMB*

*✅ IF YOUR AGE AT GRADUATION IS BELOW 30 ⬇️*

If you were 29 years old or below on your official graduation date, you are generally within the age limit for NYSC mobilisation.

➡️ You can be mobilised and deployed to an Orientation Camp, subject to meeting other NYSC mobilisation requirements.

*⚠️ IF YOUR AGE AT GRADUATION IS 30 OR ABOVE*

If you were 30 years old or above on your official graduation date, you are generally not eligible for mobilisation into the service year.

However, you will still be able to complete the online registration process.

*Instead of being deployed to an Orientation Camp, you will be processed for an NYSC Certificate of Exemption, subject to NYSC's applicable rules and verification.*

You were 28 years old at graduation.

What matters is your age at the relevant graduation date used for NYSC mobilisation.
