KASU REOPENING OF THE ONLINE POST-UTME SCREENING PORTAL FOR THE 2026/2027 ACADEMIC SESSION:

The Management of Kaduna State University wishes to inform all prospective candidates of the reopening of the ONLINE POST-UTME screening with effect from Wednesday, 22nd July to Wednesday, 29th July 2026.

This is to grant all eligible candidates who were unable to take the Post-UTME screening exercise a final opportunity to use this grace period and complete their Online Post-UTME Screening, as there will not be another opportunity to reopen the portal due to admission technicalities.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

To be eligible for the KASU Online Post-UTME Screening Exercise, a candidate must:

i. Have sat for the 2026 UTME and selected KASU as first choice institution.

ii. Have obtained the minimum JAMB aggregate score for the programme applied for (see cut-off score table below).

iii. Candidates awaiting O'Level results are eligible for the screening.

This gives prospective candidates more admission opportunities into one of Nigeria's leading universities.

WAEC CONCLUDES MARKING, SET TO RELEASE 2026 WASSCE RESULTS ON AUGUST 3, 2026

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has concluded the marking of scripts for the 2026 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).

Reports indicate that the Council has entered the final stage of result processing and is expected to release the 2026 WASSCE results on Monday, 3rd August, 2026, subject to the successful completion of all necessary procedures.

𝗝𝗔𝗠𝗕 𝗪𝗔𝗥𝗡𝗦 𝗖𝗔𝗡𝗗𝗜𝗗𝗔𝗧𝗘𝗦 𝗔𝗚𝗔𝗜𝗡𝗦𝗧 𝗜𝗟𝗟𝗘𝗚𝗔𝗟 𝗔𝗗𝗠𝗜𝗦𝗦𝗜𝗢𝗡

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has cautioned prospective students against accepting admissions offered outside its Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS), warning that such candidates risk losing recognition as legitimate students.

According to the Board, any admission not processed through CAPS and backed by an official JAMB admission letter is illegal. Candidates who secure "backdoor" admissions do so entirely at their own risk.

𝗢𝗻𝗹𝘆 𝗖𝗔𝗣𝗦-𝗩𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗲𝗱 𝗔𝗱𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁: JAMB Registrar, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, speaking through the Board's Public Communication Advisor, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, at the 2026 Annual Education Summit organised by the Education Correspondents Association of Nigeria (ECAN) in Abuja, stressed that only candidates who print their JAMB admission letters via CAPS are considered duly admitted and included on the official matriculation list.

"For you to be regarded as duly admitted, you must print your JAMB admission letter."

KWASU SECURES NUC APPROVAL FOR 11 ACADEMIC PROGRAMMES

Kwara State University (KWASU), Malete, has expanded its academic offerings for the 2026/2027 admission exercise with the addition of 11 new programmes, creating more opportunities for prospective students.

The newly added programmes on the university's admission portal are:

- Nursing Science
- Insurance and Risk Management
- Community Health Sciences
- Surveying and Geo-Informatics
- Quantity Surveying
- Architecture
- Biomedical Engineering
- Computer Engineering
- Health Education
- Technology Education
- Guidance and Counselling
- Educational Technology

The inclusion of these programmes, especially Nursing Science, is expected to attract more candidates seeking admission into professional and highly competitive fields.

Prospective applicants interested in any of the newly approved programmes are advised to ensure they meet the admission requirements before applying or making a change of institution or course.

Applicants should carefully confirm:

- The required UTME cut-off mark
- The correct UTME subject combination
- The required O'Level subjects and grades
- Any additional departmental requirements

Candidates are also encouraged to complete their admission processes early to avoid last-minute issues.
