The Universal Diplomatic Academy (UNDA) is a duly
registered entity with the corporate affairs commission of Nigeria.

We are primarily engaged in diplomatic studies, training and research in all areas of international relations, diplomacy and foreign policies.

Aims & Objectives
Our aims and objectives is to offer a high quality and practical diplomatic training to professionals and aspiring diplomats, postgraduate students of international relations and political science in the area of international diplomatic practice, especially diplomatic negotiation, alternative dispute resolutions, conference diplomacy and the diplomatic structure of the United Nations.

The academy is graced with distinguished academic scholars, seasoned diplomats and peace ambassadors, international functionaries and experts in the field of international diplomatic practice and peace support operations.

The mission of the Universal Diplomatic Academy is to train and equip our members and students with in depth knowledge of Diplomatic studies and international relations. Our Diplomatic research drive is at the highest international level of excellence.Guided by our vision and core values, the executive members, staffs, diplomats and aspiring diplomats are focused on supporting excellence in Diplomatic studies and service to the global community.

Functions
The Universal Diplomatic Academy is duly registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission of Nigeria with the legal rights to carry out Diplomatic trainings, lectures, seminars and conferences with regard to Diplomatic studies and international relations.

The Universal Diplomatic Academy has the functions of undertaking strategic studies in international relations and foreign policies, undergraduate and postgraduate training and training of mid-career officials from the public and private sector of Nigeria.
To study, synthesize and carry strategic forecast of the world situation, international relations, political, security, defence, economic, legal, cultural and foreign policy issues of countries and territories, to advise the Minister of Foreign Affairs in the formulation, planning and implementation of the foreign policy of the State;
To research and develop theories of international relations of Nigeria on the basis of international diplomatic history, and theories of international relations;
To cooperate in academic exchange with universities, academies, research institutions and intergovernmental, non-governmental organizations in the country and abroad in accordance with its functions and tasks;
Act as the focal point in the organization and management of Diplomatic training and research activities of the Nigerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs;
Train human resources at undergraduate, postgraduate, career officials (public and private), civil societies and nongovernmental organisations in Diplomatic Studies and international relations in accordance with the laws of the State;
Undertake training and organize mid-career refreshment courses in international relations, foreign policy, diplomatic skills for leaders, managers/directors of ministries, provincial departments, officials, public employees in the foreign service, officials working at external relations departments of different ministries and localities;
carrying out examination in professional diplomatic skills, foreign languages of relevant officials in accordance with regulations and assigned authority;
Undertake joint training at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, cooperative mid-career training in professional diplomatic training and foreign language studies with local or foreign institutes and organizations;
Edit and publish scientific works, studies, textbooks, teaching materials and other publications on external affairs, diplomatic history of Nigeria and the world, international relations and other related fields;
Participate in the dissemination of foreign policies and lines of the State.Manage officials, employees, facilities of the universal Diplomatic Academy in accordance with provisions of the law and decentralization of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Nigeria.
