From the very first day that you walked into that professional organisation or system to gain Employment with your (CV) and be it written or through making a verbal commitment you were invariably saying to the Director or head of operations in that very institution that I want to be mentored under his tutelage while you grow in the process either in your career, any given assignment and endeavour in life and part of mentorship comes with being rebuked & corrected on the Job and as human none of us ever like to be corrected but it all part of the mentorship process.

Rebuke and correction on the Job is all part of the Mentorship package & process, and if you are ever going to make progression within any professional system or your personal life then you must discipline yourself to always receive correction graciously with the right spirit and also make necessary adjustment in improving on yourself.

Now for someone who is currently reading this content and you are having an internal conflict in your Mind by saying I don't have a problem being corrected on the Job but I don't just like the way my Boss often correct with me and which has to do with methodology and personality.

Allow me to keep you in suspense by holding that thought and anticipate the next video.

Trust me it pertinent that you don't trivialize this two principles as simple has they may sound because the are very powerful when it comes to sponsoring a C.E.O or decision makers court across various professional systems in making decision over who to elevate (Promote) and who not to and also if you are ever going to make progress in your career within any professional system or personal life then it definitely predicated on you mastering this two principle by intentionally unlearning bad character traits on the Job and building a new programing & culture in your mind.

Please Note:
I'm not only sharing this principles from the stand point of theoretical knowledge but also from the place of personal experience because I have had my fair share of ignorance in negating this Laws in my early days of professional career and I can vividly recall some of the implications and it seems like it was yesterday, and if life will avail me another opportunity to go back trust me I will do things differently because I have receive understanding and I now know better.

of the greatest instructor of all time that life will always avail to you, is for you to learn from other people mistakes.

Will you appraise and promote a Staff that is charismatic and skillful but lacks character like showing up to work early and getting his task done in time or the one that lacks charisma & skill but has a teachable spirit & is willing to improve & learn?

Like I had earlier said from the beginning of this series, it not about titillating or exciting you in any way because as humans we are naturally drown to people that titillate and give us accolades by sponsoring our foolishness even if we are walking down the wrong path base on what they are benefiting from us rather than being truthful with us.

The true essence of this series is not to antagonize or attack, make you feel bad or guilty in any way but it about assisting you in sharing hard truths that will aid you in correcting some of the patterns and mistakes that you have repeatedly made in your professional career possibly also your personal life so that you can begin to produce a different kind of result on the Job and you must stay open minded and receptive to be able to unlearn something's and learn new things by intentionally working on yourself.

Also it pertinent that we get that cross road in our lives or career where we take a pause and do what I call a sincere self evaluation on ourselves by assessing what is working and what is not working.

Our making progression in any area of lives, be it personal life or in our career is predicated on us being truthful to ourselves concerning what we have been consistently doing wrong and without being defensive or playing the blaming game on anyone.

Skill & Charisma verses Character

I have been privy to cross paths with some of the best, charismatic and skillful minds in various system but one of the most pertinent deficiency that they always have on the Job and which can not be over look is bad attitude.

Charisma will always grant you access into an organisation or institution but what will determine your continuity & progression within that very system is your inner character being the right attitude, having just charisma and certification in our contemporary professional working place and which is very pertinent is never just good enough or in any given endeavor in life because the progression of your life and career is predicated on this truth.

Your inner character is the real you not your charisma and which is like a mask that people often wear every now and then also because true character is naturally expressed when people are put under pressure.

Please Note:
Skill, charisma and the right character will always birth an excellent fully trained personnel on the Job.
No matter how skillful, gifted and charismatic you may be if you lack the right attitude trust me you will never make progression in life and not even in your professional career or any venture in life.
