Sometimes, you see your age mates and the ones you are even far older than, you see them doing pretty well..
Sometimes, you sit and ask yourself if you're not trying enough.
Sometimes it feels like you're lazy.
My brother, you're not lazy, and you're doing your best. Yes!
Many of us, where we are coming from, we don't have any rich uncles and aunties. None from both the paternal and maternal side.
How do you think life will be easy?
When you see anyone who made it in life without rich uncles and aunties, ask them how they did it.
From their story, you will know it wasn't an easy journey..
Some time last year when Mr Eazi was being interviewed, I heard the part where he said that when he was 17 or 18 years old, he borrowed money from his uncle to start a business, but the business failed.
He went back again to the same uncle, borrowed another money and tried another business, and it still failed.
Now look at it this way; at the age of 17, he was already receiving financial support from his rich uncle(s) but many of us are 30 years and above now, and we have never received any kind of support from an uncle, not to talk about financial support.
There was a time I was trying so hard to compare myself to some of my age mates back then, but after all my efforts, I still see them living a more soft life than me.
Then as time goes on, I realised they have strong support systems from either their maternal home or their paternal home..
In my university days, I had course mates who were not academically sound. But their parents had already secured employment slots for them. They were just waiting to graduate.
But people like us graduated, we dropped our certificate and hit the streets. We literally started all over again;
—No rich uncles
—No rich brothers
—No connection
—No financial support...
I want you who is reading this post to take it easy on yourself.
Don't compare
Don't compete
Don't feel discouraged...
It's not going to be easy. Yes!
