VIOLIN POSTURE TIPS FOR BEGINNERS

Good posture makes playing the violin easier, more comfortable, and more enjoyable.

Here are a few basics to remember:

1. Stand tall. Keep your back straight and shoulders relaxed. Don't slouch when standing or sitting. Also, don't relax on the chair when sitting.

2. Relax your shoulders. Don't raise or squeeze them while playing.

3. Hold the violin comfortably and place it securely between your chin and shoulder without forcing it.

4. Keep your head natural and avoid bending your neck too far to the side.

5. Keep your left hand relaxed. Let your fingers move freely without squeezing the neck of the violin.

6. Balance your weight by standing evenly on both feet and avoid leaning to one side.

Remember: Good posture isn’t about looking stiff. It’s about being balanced, relaxed, and comfortable as you play your violin

Which one are you adding? Let us know in the comment section.
