On the 17th of June 2021, the Planet Helpers represented Start-Rite schools at the Grand Finale of the PISTIS essay competition themed innovation for sustainability at Nile University.

Using recyclable materials, students of Start-Rite Schools Day Secondary created a biodigester. In doing this project, they made reference to Goal 7 of the .

Their presentation at the Grand Finale of the Pistis 2021 Sustainability Essay Competition, was in line with the theme: Innovation for Sustainability.

This science experiment was born out of continuous exposure to the topics and the need to strengthen the critical thinking and problem-solving skills of our students at Start-Rite Schools Day Secondary.
