If you are struggling with fat accumulating in the belly area then start working on these three things.
1. reverse insulin resistance by ensuring you are evenly distributing your carbohydrates across the day and not skipping meals then having a large carb load at your next meal.
Carbohydrates distribution and eating carbs within your tolerance levels matters.
You should also pair carbs with protein + Fats + Vegetables at main meals.
2. focus on aerobic style exercises to help use up stored fats for fueling those workouts. Movement like brisk walking, hiking, incline walks, biking, swimming etc are some examples of aerobic style exercises. This doesn't mean other form of exercises are not beneficial however aerobic style specifically helps you mobilize stored fats.
3. Priorities your sleep by avoiding electronics 1 hour prior to sleep.
Create a bed time ritual to help you unwind like light stretching or journaling or reading.
Also going to bed at the same time every night is key.
