EMPATHY VS. SYMPATHY VS. APATHY - What's the difference?

☑️ Empathy is having the ability to understand what another person experiences from their point of view.

☑️ Sympathy is when someone shares feelings of sadness for another person's misfortune. While someone with empathy may feel sympathy for a friend, it's not necessary for these feelings to overlap. For instance, a person can have sympathy for a friend who lost a loved one but have no idea what that
experience is like, but they do know their friend is sad.

☑️ Apathy is a complete lack of feeling or concern for something or someone. It's not malicious or angry; rather, it's complete indifference. Perhaps, a numbness to a situation. As such, apathy and sympathy cannot co-exist. However, empathy and apathy could, because a person could understand another person's experiences and not care.

How do animals breathe🤔?

Animals breathe by taking in oxygen and releasing carbon dioxide. The process of breathing involves two main parts: inhalation and exhalation.

During inhalation, animals take in air through their nose or mouth and it travels down the trachea (windpipe) and into the lungs. The air travels through the bronchial tubes, which branch out into smaller and smaller tubes called bronchioles. At the end of the bronchioles are tiny air sacs called alveoli, where oxygen is exchanged for carbon dioxide.

During exhalation, animals release carbon dioxide-rich air out of their body. The muscles in the chest and abdomen relax, causing the lungs to contract and the air to be pushed out of the body.

The process of breathing is controlled by the respiratory system, which includes the lungs, trachea, bronchi, bronchioles, alveoli, and diaphragm. Different animals have different respiratory systems, and some animals can breathe through their skin or gills, depending on their environment.
