VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

The management of Shehu Shagari Model Islamic Centre (SSMIC), Abuja is pleased to invite applications from suitably qualified candidates for teaching positions in the following subjects:

Available Positions

Mathematics Teacher (Secondary School)

Computer Science Teacher (Secondary School)

Requirements

Applicants must possess:

A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in:

Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or related discipline (for Mathematics position); and

Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline (for Computer Science position).

At least three (3) years teaching experience in the relevant subject area.

Strong communication skills, classroom management ability, and commitment to academic excellence.

Today, May 12, 2026, marked the official opening of the International University of Africa (IUA) Liaison Office in Nigeria, situated at the Shehu Shagari Model Islamic Centre, Area 1, Garki, Abuja.

The commissioning ceremony was graciously attended by the Deputy Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs and Cultural Relations, Professor Muhammad Osman Abdallah, alongside distinguished guests and stakeholders in the education sector.

The establishment of the IUA Liaison Office is aimed at strengthening academic collaboration and expanding access to quality educational opportunities for Nigerians. The office will provide the following services:

1. Student admission and academic coordination.

2. Monitoring and support for postgraduate and distance learning programmes.

3. Student support services and supervision of academic progress.

4. Promotion of institutional partnerships and strategic communication.

The initiative reflects the commitment of the International University of Africa and Shehu Shagari Model Islamic Centre (SSMIC) to promoting academic excellence, international cooperation, and accessible higher education opportunities within Nigeria and beyond.
