The 3-day training on Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Inclusion, aimed at empowering teachers and youths of Alaeze Ogwa and Ogwa at large, ended on a very successful note.

The feedback from participating schools / teachers was truly inspiring, giving us great hope for a Season 2.

My sincere gratitude 🙏 goes to my PG, Chief Kingsley Ejimmadu, and the Chairman of Alaeze Day Celebration 2025, Dr. GC Onuegbu, for availing EKEC this invaluable opportunity.

It was an honour and a great opportunity to bring the campaign for inclusion to my hometown. The excitement and eagerness on the faces of educators as they learned about special needs education; its meaning, identification of red flags, the importance of early intervention, and the myths surrounding SEN was truly inspiring.

At that moment, I was fully convinced that breaking down barriers around SEN is not just a vision, but a growing reality.

Today, we had the honour of hosting the NUT Chairperson, Imo State Chapter, who graciously attended our training as the first Special Guest to openly embrace inclusive education.

Her presence and support mark a major milestone for Special Needs Education in Imo State. We are excited to announce that she has committed to mobilising teachers across Imo State for a comprehensive inclusion and SEN training scheduled for January 2026.

This is a strong message to all:
Every child counts. Every child can learn and succeed, when challenges are identified early, supported with timely intervention, and provided with the right resources.

We are deeply grateful for this partnership and shared vision for an inclusive future.

It’s the season of love ❤️ and care, and as part of our cherished EKA tradition, we reached out once again to celebrate Christmas with the less privileged.
It was a truly awesome and fulfilling experience for our EKA Outstanding Eagles.
