THE POWER OF INNER CONVICTION
Matthew 9:20–22 "And, behold, a woman, which was diseased with an issue of blood twelve years, came behind him, and touched the hem of his garment: FOR SHE SAID WITHIN HERSELF, If I may but touch his garment, I shall be whole. But Jesus turned him about, and when he saw her, he said, Daughter, be of good comfort; thy faith hath made thee whole. And the woman was made whole from that hour."
The trajectory of your life is not determined by public opinion or external circumstances, but by the private conversations you have with yourself. This woman was not just a victim of a medical condition; she was a prisoner of social and religious laws that labeled her "unclean." However, before she ever touched the hem of Jesus’ garment, she had already touched the hem of her miracle in her mind.
To experience a breakthrough that defies logic, you must follow these six principles of inner conviction:
1. Silence the External Noise: Nobody understands the depth of your vision or the urgency of your need like you do. The world will always offer reasons why you should stay hidden or why your "unclean" past disqualifies you. You must reach a point where the voice of your necessity becomes louder than the voice of your critics.
2. Challenge the Status Quo: Under the Law of Moses, this woman was forbidden from being in a crowd. By entering the press, she risked everything. To get what you have never had, you must be willing to do what you have never done. Settlement in the heart creates the courage to use unconventional means to reach a divine end.
3. Win the Battle of the Mind: The scripture reveals the secret of her success: "For she said within herself." Every great exploit begins as a mental conception. Your mind is the laboratory where your miracles are birthed. If you cannot see the victory in your heart, you will never seize it with your hands.
4. Practice Spiritual Rehearsal: Great faith is rarely an accident. This woman likely spent days or weeks rehearsing her strategy. She visualized the crowd, the obstacle, and the moment of contact. When Jesus finally arrived in her neighborhood, she wasn't guessing; she was executing a plan that was already settled in her spirit.
5. Focus on the Source, Not the Obstacle: In the "press," many people were touching Jesus out of curiosity, but only one touched Him with a demand. When you settle it in your heart, you stop looking at the people pushing against you and start looking at the Power that can pull you out. Faith ignores the crowd to find the Christ.
6. Activate Persistent Determination: A believer who is full of the Holy Spirit and has a settled heart is an unstoppable force. The woman did not let twelve years of failure or the complexity of the Law stop her. She kept pushing until her internal conviction met divine power.
CONCLUSION: TAKE THE STEP
Miracles do not happen to those who merely wish; they happen to those who decide. Your miracle is not waiting for God to move; God is waiting for you to move based on what you have settled in your heart.
Don't just wait for the atmosphere to change. Change your internal confession, push through the limitations of your current environment, and lay hold of your testimony. If you can settle it within, God will settle it without. Amen!
Shalom! PTony
