Distinguished School Owners, Leaders, Heads and Colleagues,

Good morning to everyone.

My heartfelt condolences go out to the young souls, their families and everyone who lost their precious lives in the tragic school building collapse in Plateau. This is profoundly devastating and heart-wrenching news in every sense.

The anguish and the ensuing trauma from this tragic event are indescribable.

While we await the full details regarding the cause of the collapse, I urge all school owners and leaders to glean crucial lessons from this incident.

We must consistently conduct thorough RISK ASSESSMENT AND MANAGEMENT in our facilities. This practice should be a continuous priority. A school should be a save haven, not a potential death trap.

May God continue to guide and protect us.
