*JAMB UPDATE: PROFILE CODE CREATION FOR REGISTRATION HAS STARTED*

The first step to registering for UTME is having the profile code as it'd be used for the purchase of ePIN used to further registration exercise

*HOW TO CREATE JAMB PROFILE CODE USING TEXT SMS*

1️⃣ Every candidate will require a unique mobile number for the process of registeration. This phone number can only be used by one candidate only

*NOTE: This mobile number remains your unique identification for all transactions with JAMB, so, keep it safe!*

2️⃣ The candidate will send his/her National Identification Number via SMS (Text) to 55019 or 66019 using the mobile number he/she intends to usd, here's how to send the text
- Write the word "NIN", then put a space
- Write your 11 digit NIN and send to 55019 or 66019
The message will be in the format (NIN 00123456789).

The number you used must have not been used by any other person to register for UTME/DE in the past

The SIM must be loaded with credit and not special bonus plan

3️⃣ A profile code of 10 characters is then sent back to the candidate as a response

The phone number used by the candidate to generate profile code will automatic be tied to the candidate's 2025 application, examination and admission l

Candidates should note that the SIM (Phone Number) used must be kept safe as this is the only means to contact the board for further proceedings like result checking

*HOW TO RETRIEVE PROFILE CODE*

To retrieve a lost profile code, send "RESEND" to 55019 or 66019 via SMS using the same Mobile Number used in generating it.
