PEACEFUL PROTEST BY STUDENTS AGAINST SCHOOL FEES HIKE AND OTHER INCREMENT ISSUES
This morning, students of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic (MAPOLY) gathered in large numbers at the Ojere campus to stage a peaceful protest against the recent hike in school fees and other related increments. The demonstration, which involved students from various departments, showcased their dissatisfaction with the financial strain these increases impose on them and their families.
With placards in hand and coordinated chants, the students demanded immediate action from the management to reconsider the fee structures. Many of the protesters expressed that the rising costs are making education less accessible, especially during this period of economic hardship affecting households across the nation.
Despite the tension, the students maintained order throughout the protest, highlighting their commitment to peaceful dialogue and constructive solutions. Leaders of the protest assured that their aim is not confrontation but a fair hearing from the institution's management to address their grievances.
Key Demands of the Students:
1. Reversal of Fee Increments: Students urge the management to cancel the recent increases or adopt a more student-friendly structure.
2. Improved Infrastructure: They are calling for visible improvements in the quality of education and infrastructure to match the current fees.
3. Financial Aid Programs: The introduction of scholarships or other financial aid initiatives to support less-privileged students.
The protest serves as a crucial reminder of the importance of prioritizing student welfare and fostering an inclusive educational system. It is hoped that the school management and relevant authorities will engage in meaningful discussions to resolve the matter swiftly.

🚨 MAPOLY DRESS CODE AND FRESHERS’ GUIDE 🚨
Dear MAPOLY Students,
It has come to our attention that many students are unaware of the designated dress codes for every department in our citadel of learning. This is an important aspect of our institution, and adherence is mandatory for all students.
Dress codes are not just a tradition; they serve multiple purposes:
1. Identity: To distinguish students from different departments.
2. Discipline: To promote proper class attendance and discourage loitering.
3. Orderliness: To set boundaries and maintain respect for lecture territories.
Unfortunately, some students have disregarded these rules, choosing instead to wander the school premises or attend lectures in other departments unnecessarily. This act disrupts the academic atmosphere and violates institutional policies.
DEPARTMENTAL DRESS CODES
Mass Communication: Purple and Black
Accountancy, Business Administration: White and Black
Mechanical & Electrical Engineering: Decent dressing + Clean Blue Lap Coat
Science Laboratory Technology (SLT): Decent dressing + Clean White Lap Coat
