2022 INTERNATIONAL women's day
07/03/2021
Dear RWSA Members and Conference Presenters,
I hope you are well. Spring is in the air - or at least just around the corner - here in Canada.
Just a reminder that registration is open for the RWSA conference and the program is uploaded. You can visit the conference website at https://www.rwsa2021.uoguelph.ca/ and register today.
To take advantage of this virtual experience to create meaningful new connections and extend the reach to people who could not ordinarily attend, please send out the word to your friends, colleagues, grad students, and various networks. I've attached various images that you can use in emails and social media.
Please spread the word! Many thanks,
Cathy
Co-Chair and Host of RWSA 2021
RWSA2021 The RWSA is an international association to advance farm and rural women’s/gender studies in historical perspective. We welcome scholars from diverse fields as well as rural organizations and communities.

Our call for papers garnered a tremendous response. Over 150 people from 13 different countries proposed some form of presentation. We accepted nearly everyone.
Owing to the virtual format of the conference we will not be doing the silent auction or using the Jensen Neth Fund for travel.
The hosting platform is HopIn. It’s better than Zoom and allows a combination of live, interactive sessions, exclusive on-demand content, an exhibit area, and real-time video networking opportunities.
The program has been drafted and only needs some final touches.
Presenters will soon be receiving further information that will help them plan.
A very attractive landing website has been created and you will receive the link in the New Year when registration goes live sometime in January.
A warm thank you goes out to the Program Committee and the Local Arrangements Committee and all of you who submitted proposals and have been promoting the event. Thank you SO much.
Also, members and prospective members can now pay for their membership using PayPal: https://www.ohio.edu/cas/history/institutes/rwsa/membership. You can still send in a cheque if that works best for you, but this will hopefully make it easier and more convenient to pay.
