Keep resting my lord bishop 💔

Yesterday our able Governor Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, honour of welcoming to Ebonyi State the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of Nigeria (CBCN), led by the Papal Nuncio to Nigeria, His Grace Michael Francis Crotty, ahead of tomorrow’s funeral rites for the 3rd Catholic Bishop of Abakaliki Diocese, Late Most Rev. Peter Nworie Chukwu.

The delegation included the President of the CBCN, His Grace Matthew Man-Oso Ndagoso; Their Eminences, Peter Cardinal Okpaleke and John Cardinal Onaiyekan; His Grace Valerian Maduka Okeke; and the Apostolic Administrator of the Catholic Diocese of Abakaliki, Most Rev. Ernest Anaezichukwu Obodo, among other distinguished bishops.

In receiving the revered clerics, I described Late Bishop Peter Nworie Chukwu as a bold, courageous, and compassionate shepherd of the Church who spoke truth to power and remained deeply committed to the welfare of his flock and society at large.

Ebonyi State is honoured to host the Catholic faithful and church leaders from across the country as we pay our final respects to a devoted servant of God whose legacy of faith, courage, and service will continue to inspire generations.

Iam Babyoku FATHER’S burial:
I don’t know whether to say, “take heart” or to say “congratulations” to him

The one I can say now is that he’s a man — it’s good to be good in the real sense. It was a giving-back time to my friend and Big Brother Babyoku. I am grateful to God for having him as a brother. May God continue to bless the entire family with longevity and prosperity, and above all, the grace to keep the flag flying.
