THE DEPUTY GOVERNOR OF EBONYI STATE, HIS EXCELLENCY CHIEF ERIC KELECHI IGWE TOURS KING DAVID GIFTED ACADEMY LAUDS GOV. UMAHI FOR THE WONDERFUL DEVELOPMENT

Today, 16th November, 2020, the Deputy Governor of Ebonyi State, His Excellency Chief Dr. Eric Kelechi Igwe, Esq, toured the foremost King David Gifted Academy, Ochudo-Centenary City Abakaliki.

Dr. Igwe who came in company of the Secretary to the State Government and Coordinating Commissioner, Dr. Kenneth Ugbala, commended the EXCO Committee on rehabilitation of King David Gifted Academy ably led by Lady (Dr.) Adaeze P. Nwaji, Esq. for the quality of works done, high standard Installations and speedy delivery by the Committee.

He further refered to Lady (Dr.) Adaeze and her counterpart Barr. Sunday Nwankwo as great transformers, who have displayed expertise and excellence, with their top notch facilities installations.

In his word, His Excellency the Governor of Ebonyi State Engr. Chief David Nweze Umahi FNSE FNATE, has done well by the establishment of the Academy, and the school once completed would guarantee the grooming of super talented kids in Ebonyi State, who would compete with first class brains in the world.

The entourage was particularly happy with Gov. Umahi, for his giant strides in areas of quality Education, construction, human capital development and capacity building.

According to the Deputy Governor, His Excellency the Governor has also demonstrated strength and vigor in the area of academic advancement and above all, has made provision for all and sundry to thrive and become whatsoever and whosoever anyone desires to become.

Dr. Igwe affirmed that the Governor's evergreen leadership dispositions have been great sources of inspiration to both political office holders within the State and beyond.

Lady(Dr.) Adaeze in her response, appreciated the Deputy Governor for being a father and a reliable mentor. She stated that the quality jobs they are doing are not far fetched from His (Deputy Gov.) firm attention to details, just like his boss the Governor, coupled with His quality supervision and that of the Secretary to State Government, Dr. Ugbala.

In an immeasurable manner, she appreciated His Excellency the Governor for finding them worthy and giving them the opportunity to handle the project. She further stated “His Excellency is a man of Excellence and for believing in us, we must deliver by God’s grace”.

She conclusively affirmed that her team shall stop at nothing to ensure the sustainability of the good work they have commensed.

REMODELLING OF KING DAVID GIFTED ACADEMY SOON TO BE COMPLETED

The quality of every Institution is heavily dependent on the structural components, visible artificial comeliness, standard of service delivery and modus operandi. A poorly constructed infrastructure is very dangerous to not only the occupants but also the entire neighborhood at large.

The foremost King David Gifted Academy, King David Scholars Ochudo-Centenary City, Abakaliki, Ebonyi State, has recorded an unprecedented paradigm shift, described as being intimidating, adorable and commendable, within the short moment of its restructuring and remodeling. The level of development put in place so far is positively frightening.

Recall that the Governor of Ebonyi State, His Excellency directed the Ebonyi State Executive Council (EXCO) to carry out an intensive study on the school and subsequently setup a Committee to oversee the reconstruction and remodelling of the Academy ; the EXCO further appointed Special Assistant to the Governor on Vocational Education, Lady (Dr.) Adaeze P. Nwaji, Esq, and Special Assistant to the Governor on Deputy Governor's Office Hon. Barr. Sunday Nwankwo, as the Chairman and Secretary to the Committee respectively.

Ever since the Committee started work, the school has received a fresh breathe. With the level of work done so far, it is obvious and self-evident that capable hands have come to change the existing status quo. Undoubtedly, it has been proven that the environment upon which a thing is learnt is most times more important than that which was learnt.

The Committee has not rested on its oars as the members have worked day and night to ensure that the desired aims are achieved.
Evidently, the face of the school has humongously and tremendously changed and works are not yet completed yet.

All thanks to Governor Umahi, for his unwavering and outstanding commitment in ensuring quality Education and Human Capital Development. Indubitably, he has come to reposition the education sector and secure the future of our dear State and the Nation at large.
