Here are some reasons why we do not have televisions in our center:

1. Age-appropriate activities: children benefit from engaging in hands-on, interactive activities that promote their physical, cognitive, and social development. Television does not provide the same level of sensory stimulation and interaction as other activities.

2. Limited screen time: Research suggests that excessive screen time, including television, can negatively impact young children's development. Limiting or avoiding television can help promote a healthier balance between screen time and other activities that support development, such as playing, exploring, and socializing.

3. Attention and focus: Television tends to be passive entertainment, requiring little active engagement or critical thinking. Promoting activities that require children to engage their attention and focus helps develop important skills like problem-solving, creativity, and concentration.

4. Language and communication skills: The early years is a crucial period for language and communication development. Interacting with peers and adults through conversations, storytelling, and pretend play is more beneficial for language development compared to television, which typically involves passive listening.

5. Social interaction: Children learn important social skills by interacting with their peers and teachers. Television can limit these opportunities for face-to-face interaction, impeding social development.

6. Individual needs and differences: Children have varying sensitivities to screen time. By not having television in the center, we can better cater to individual needs and preferences, providing a more inclusive environment.

7. Encouraging active play: We prioritize promoting physical activity and movement. Having no television can encourage children to engage in active play, which is beneficial for their gross motor skills, coordination, and overall health.

Therefore our decision to not have television at the center is to create an environment that supports the developmental needs and well-being of your children.

Why do we encourage student led learning?

1. Increased engagement: When students are actively involved in their own learning, they become more engaged and interested in the subject matter. They take ownership of their education and are more likely to be motivated to learn.

2. Improved critical thinking skills: Student-led learning requires students to think critically, make decisions, and solve problems. It promotes higher-order thinking skills and helps students develop the ability to analyze and evaluate information.

3. Enhanced collaboration and communication skills: Student-led learning often involves group work and collaboration. Working together, students learn to communicate effectively, listen to others' perspectives, and work towards common goals. These skills are valuable in both academic and real-life settings.

4. Personalized learning experience: Student-led learning allows students to learn at their own pace and explore topics that interest them. It caters to their individual learning styles and preferences, providing a more personalized and adaptive learning experience.

5. Increased retention and understanding: Research has shown that when students actively participate in their learning by teaching and explaining concepts to others, they have a better understanding and retention of the material. Student-led learning encourages students to take on the role of teachers, which reinforces their own learning.

Childhood has been identified as the stage of cognitive abilities(intellectual)... The child goes through a process which we can refer to as a garbage in and garbage out stage.. That is to say whatever you give to the child, the child deconstructs and reconstructs it and sends it out perhaps exactly or slightly different but there would still be traces of the original deposit.. At the AI club we are responsible for the slight difference from the regular your child is exposed to, to something tremendously helpful and new.. Our curriculum is programmed to bring out the hidden or neglected potentials in your child or ward and I bet you, that it will be that of perpetual bliss throughout this journey. Let's find new grounds for them to keep these smiles on their faces ever radiating and exceptional.

Children's senses are usually underdeveloped at birth. However, as they grow and interact with the world around them, their sensory system matures, ultimately supporting the rapid brain development that occurs in infancy.

One way to help their brain to fully develop is by engaging them in Sensory play.
