Amina was a 14 years old girl.
One morning around 10:30 a.m. during mathematics class.
Amina felt something unfamiliar within her abdomen, the feeling made her became uncomfortable and restless in class. She shifted in her seat, hoping the feeling would go away.
At 14. No one had properly explained to her what to expect every month as a young girl. No emergency pad, no spare uniform, no preparation.

When the bell rang and she stood up, she heard the class whispering from her back while some were laughing and pointing figures at her.

When she turn back to look, a dot red stain had spread across the back of her school uniform and her chair.
Her heart started pounding. When the teacher came, she quickly told her to step outside, but the damage to her confidence had already been done.

Amina walked home that day in tears

The next day, she did not return to school.
