(a. Minimum of SSCE qualification or evidence to read, write, communicate well & having attended a recognized driving school shall be an added advantage.

(b. Valid driver’s license
At least 4 years driving experience.

(c. Good knowledge of road safety regulations.

(d. Ability to maintain vehicle cleanliness and basic maintenance checks

(e. Must be responsible, punctual, and of good character.

(f. A married person shall be preferable.

(g. Two guarantors who MUST be married.

: Monday to Friday(with occasional weekend duties when required)

: 7:15am daily & closing time 4pm (except when assigned tasks extend).

*Responsible for safe transportation of students and staff and other transport engagements that shall be assigned.*

Prof. Sandra C. Duru (Peace Poly) Maternity and Clinic Commissioned in Abak

Today, the 4th of February, 2026, marks a historic and memorable milestone in the health sector of Abak Local Government Area, Akwa Ibom State, as the Sandra C. Duru (Peace Poly) Maternity and Clinic is formally commissioned at Kilometre 4, Mbarakom Abak.

The occasion was a remarkable one, drawing a large and diverse audience from all walks of life community leaders, Academic Scholars, Government representatives, health professionals, friends, and well-wishers who gathered in unity to witness the birth of a facility poised to redefine healthcare delivery within this region.

Addressing the audience during the event, the Chief Medical Consultant of the facility, Dr. Richard Akpabio, a seasoned medical professional with many years of experience both within and outside Nigeria, assured the community of the clinic’s commitment to excellence. He emphasized that the *Sandra C. Duru Maternity and Clinic* is equipped and positioned to become one of the leading medical facilities within this geographical zone capable of handling major medical operations while prioritizing the restoration and preservation of the health of citizens.

The event recorded an impressive turnout of dignitaries, including the Chairman of Abak Local Government Council and her entourage, ably represented by the Vice Chairman. Also in attendance was Professor Peace E. Udosen, the Head of Administration, Peace Polytechnic, alongside members of the Academic Staff of Peace Polytechnic. Traditional rulers, village heads, friends of Peace Polytechnic, and other distinguished guests were equally present, lending prestige and significance to the commissioning ceremony.

Immediately after the official commissioning, the atmosphere transitioned into one of compassion and service, as a free medical outreach commenced. The outreach featured full medical consultations and treatments, further underscoring the institution’s mission to provide accessible and quality healthcare to the people.
