Triads from C Major scale. ---------------------------------------------. C D E F G A B C. 1. C = C Major triad = C E G. 2. D = D minor triad = D F A. 3. E = E minor triad = E G B. 4. F= F Major triad = F A C. 5. G = G Major triad = G B D. 6. A = A minor triad = A C E. 7. B = B diminished triad = B D F. There are 3 Major triads, 3 minor triads & 1 diminished triad in every Major scale just like Key C Major. The Major triads appeared at numbers 1, 4 & 5 of the Major scale while the minor triads appeared at numbers 2, 3 & 6 of the Major scale, then diminished triad on number 7.

The C chord has (1) root position -C E G , (2) first inversion -EGC & second inversion -GCE

TRIAD:- is a three note chord consisting of letter name of the chord, the 3rd & the 5th. Example: C chord - C E G

QUARTET:- A composition for four instruments or voices.

TRIO:- A composition for a group of three performers.

UNISON:- Is when different instruments/voices àre jointly playing same ( a part without a harmonic interval).
