I WANT TO LEARN ELECTRICAL WIRING IN 3 MONTHS...
A lot of peyhave recently reached out to us and said:
I want to learn electrical wiring in 3 months...
And honestly, our first question wasn't
Why only 3 months?
Our question was:
What exactly do you want to be able to do after those 3 months?
Because that's the question most people don't ask...
You see advertisements saying:
BECOME AN ELECTRICIAN IN 6 WEEKS!
MASTER ELECTRICAL WIRING IN 1 MONTH
And people understandably get excited...
But let's be honest
What does “learn electrical wiring” actually mean?
Is it memorising how to connect a few sockets and switches?
Is it learning how to wire one house under supervision?
Or is it being able to confidently approach different electrical installations, understand the drawings, select the right materials, work safely, troubleshoot faults, test installations and execute work professionally?
Those are not the same thing...
Proper electrical training isn't just about how quickly you can hold a screwdriver.
It involves theory + practical work + safety + tools + calculations + troubleshooting + testing + real installation experience + supervised practice...
And here's where we disagree with the popular mindset:
Electrical training should not be planned around a deadline...
“I am travelling in 3 months.”
“I need to start earning next month.”
“I have only 30 days.”
“I want to finish before December.”
We understand...
But electricity doesn't understand your deadline, Unless you want to burn down someone's house
A short timeline doesn't make electrical principles simpler...
If you're planning to travel, start learning before your travel date is close...
If you're planning to start a career, start before you desperately need the income.
If you want to become an electrician, don't wait until you have only 30 days left and then look for the fastest certificate you can get.
Because the real question isn't:
How quickly can I finish electrical training?
The better question is:
How competent can I become within the time I have?
Here in OJM Electrical Academy, we would rather have a student say:
I need to become competent...
than:
I just need to finish
Because at the end of the day, a certificate can show that you completed training
But your work will show whether you actually learned the skill.
So let's settle this debate...
👉 Can someone learn some aspects of electrical wiring in 30 days?
Yes
👉 Can someone gain useful practical skills in 3 months?
Absolutely
👉 Does completing a 30 day or 3 month course automatically mean someone has become a fully competent electrician?
That's a completely different question...
And that distinction matters is you're a practicing electrician that came for upgrade then yes it's 200% possible to become competent in 3 months.
But if you're a complete beginner that's starting from scratch, then No it's not possible to be competent in 3 months
What do you think?
Would you rather spend 3 months rushing to finish or spend the appropriate amount of time building real competence?
