The Broken Pencil

Emeka was a creative boy with a talent for drawing and inventing, but he only had one old, broken pencil. Others laughed at his drawings, but he never stopped sketching his dreams.

After school, he delivered newspapers to help pay rent. Life was demanding, but Emeka believed his ideas could one day matter.

The Worn-Out Backpack

Amadi was a teenage girl living with her single father in a quiet village. Every morning, she carried her heavy, torn backpack to school. Some classmates teased her about it, but Amadi never let their words stop her from learning.

After school, she helped her father repair bicycles for neighbors. Money was tight, and some nights they went to bed without dinner. Still, Amadi dreamed of becoming an engineer one day.

One day, a new school principal noticed how determined and diligent she was. Impressed, he connected her with a local foundation that offered scholarships to bright but underprivileged students. Months later, Amadi received the support she needed to continue her studies.

Years later, Amadi became a leading engineer. Returning to her village, she set up a workshop to train young girls in STEM skills for free. Standing there, she thought of her old torn backpack and the struggles she had overcome. She smiled and said, “Challenges didn’t break me; they built me.”

Moral Lesson:

Difficulties don’t define your life; perseverance, hard work, and hope do. Keep going—your breakthrough might be closer than you think.

A crisp button - down and tie for men, and a knee - length skirt or dress for women.

But as education evolves, so does the classroom environment.

Today, the debate over teachers wearing trousers — particularly female educators in regions where traditional dress codes still strictly enforce skirts — is moving to the forefront.
