I met a mother today whose 9-year-old daughter has started developing breasts and menstruating.

As we talked, I could see the confusion and fear in her eyes. She was devastated because she thought it was a disease.

Let me say this clearly:

Early development is not a disease.

Yes, 9 years may feel ā€œtoo early,ā€ but some children experience what is called early puberty. It can be influenced by genetics, nutrition, environment, or body changes. What matters most is how we respond as parents.

Here are important things to do in such a situation:

1ļøāƒ£ Don’t panic. Stay calm so your child doesn’t feel ashamed or afraid.

2ļøāƒ£ Visit a qualified doctor for proper evaluation and guidance. It’s always wise to rule out any medical concerns.

3ļøāƒ£ Educate your child gently about body changes. Use simple, age-appropriate language.

4ļøāƒ£ Teach menstrual hygiene and body care.

5ļøāƒ£ Protect her emotionally. Early developers may attract attention — guide her on boundaries and safety.

6ļøāƒ£ Reassure her that nothing is ā€œwrongā€ with her body.
Parents, our children’s bodies are changing faster than we experienced in our own time. Information is power. Fear is not.

Let’s choose awareness over panic.
Let’s choose guidance over shame.
Let’s raise confident, informed children. 🌸

Snake/Scorpion Bite Is Not a Time for Trial and Error

Yesterday I heard of someone applying herbs and tying a tight rope around a snake bite before going to the hospital.

Let’s be clear

There is no home remedy that cures venom.

What saves a life is staying calm, keeping the person still, and rushing to the hospital immediately.

Do NOT cut the wound.

Do NOT suck the blood.

Do NOT apply chemicals or herbs.

Do NOT tie it tightly.

For scorpion stings, wash the area, use a cool compress, and seek medical care if symptoms become severe — especially for children.

Sometimes what we call ā€œfirst aidā€ can make things worse.

Knowledge saves lives.

Share this. Someone may need it urgently.

There was a time I tried to adjust myself
just so I could fit in.

I laughed when I didn’t find things funny.

I agreed when I didn’t fully agree.

People liked the version of me I created.

But I was the only one who felt lost.

These days, I’d rather be real and few
than popular and pretending.

Just yesterday, a woman forgot her child in a crowded, busy market and only realized when she was almost home.

Mothers, we go through a lot chores, business, family, responsibilities.

The stress is real. But this is a gentle reminder: it’s okay to pause. It’s okay to rest.

Exhaustion can make you lose focus. And some mistakes are too.
